First off, thanks to BHW for making this happen. I started a blog about a music genre a few months back before knowing anything about seo or how to monetize my site. Needless to say, the keywords are awful, I barely just broke the #47 spot on google and I have made a whopping .02 from Adsense strictly through impressions, no clicks.

So I have been doing keyword research hoping to find one I had confidence in but couldn't just pull the trigger on a domain. Finally said screw it and found a keyword with many long tail keywords I could easily make into a MNS with more than just a couple of pages. I bought the .org EMD and uploaded ProSense. Got my homepage set to a static page, no posts throughout just pages.

As of now I only completed the homepage and one article out of 8 others I need to write, well my privacy policy and all the good stuff is done also. I got all my favorite plugins etc etc and I was ready to rock on completing my other articles.

I opened my statcounter and saw an exit click through my 250x250 on the left of my content! So i checked my Adsense account and...... $0. I forgot to add my new site to my list of authorized sites. But at least I know I may be on a good path with my new site. I am ranking number 4 in Yahoo for my main keyword and I haven't touched any off page seo, I barely just finished my sitemap. But screw Yahoo I am on my way to the number one spot on Google! LOL

So long story short.........Thanks BHW for getting me started and all the great info shared!

Are you sure it's due to this? By default Adsense automatically accepts clicks from all websites your ad code is placed on regardless of whether you have approved the site or not.

I am pretty sure it is because I have that option checked and Adsense registered the click just no money. And even when I logged in I got a message at the top of Adsense dashboard stating I have my ads on unapproved sites.

I figured I would ask a couple questions here so I don't start a whole new thread.

One thing I would like to do is be able to track my clicks better through adsense, since I am using ProSense theme with "built-in" ads it doesn't track things like ad sizes etc. Is there anyway to do this or should I just create new units of my own and replace the code in ProSense?

Another question is whether or not that ad unit 250x250 floated to the left of my content should be text only. ProSense has text and image but I think I read i the past that it would work better as a text only ad.

Thanks for taking to time to help!
