First Attempt Youtube Cashcow (No Experience)

Hey everyone, Ive been seeing many YouTube journeys and looking to start one with no experience. Ive been in the digital world for a while but never did YouTube, yesterday I was messing around and had a chance to start.

So Far:
1. Ive been just reading on BHW and got the tips I need for monetization, target audience, and how to rank on algo. Not sure if this all works, but wont know until we try.
2. I created a logo, made a unique and eye grabbing channel name.
3. Im going to focus on posting shorts for now until I think about what to make for videos, So far the goal is 3 shorts a day focusing a specific audience with auto captions and reusing clips using the software: CapCut.
4. First short posted yesterday: 2k views; 51 Likes, Second short posted 30 minutes ago: 11 views and 1 like with 2 new subs.


What to do next:
Going to have 60-80 shorts ready to post consistently throughout the month and will give me enough time to think about what the channel is going to focus on content wise for videos.



I have 0 idea with the proxies etc, all going in blind and learning as I go, any tips I would appreciate, thanks!

Hello everyone, thanks for your interests.

So far im just focused on posting shorts until im able to monetize,
I had a issue come up today, one of my videos (my first ever video) that had 2k views was taken down due to community guidelines, it was a stock video that was a funny clip and added my own captions / logo not sure what the issue was. But, I just accepted it and deleted the video, just so I could clear the history of it being striked. Im not sure if I did the right move but just wanted to avoid any strikes.


4.3k views, but had another video reach 2k (not the same first video), im not sure why the views are getting lower. Will read more threads and see what I could do next. (still way to early only 2 days)

Question: I am watching the shorts I make, from my phone, from a YouTube account that has a completely different target audience, am I ruining the algorithm by watching my own videos on a account that has no relation to the niche I'm focusing on for my videos?


(This is not for profit journey, just learning as the first try. It would be smarter to have content ahead of time for any youtube channel if your serious about starting, if it goes well ill make it a profit journey, for now just learning as we go)

Hi update so far:

1. I went through the channel on all the shorts Ive posted so far, there was 2 that only got 2-4 views and they werent the best videos, I seen after I posted more videos after the bad ones, overall all views on all shorts went down. So I went back and deleted those 2 bad edited videos and suddenly everything went up in views. I still dont know what im doing, didnt post much today just 2 shorts.

2. took the day to take notes and understand more about YouTube, only 3 days in, not just in this journey overall working with YouTube. More SEO based.

If anyone could share good threads to learn more about YT algo, would be very helpful, thank you.

Hey, update today: No progress was tied up all day, so far the analytics & future plans of Journey:

1. Working on 30-40 Long format videos 9-15 minutes, I have found a very profitable niche no one has done yet and I will be turning this Journey for profit.
2. Working on 200 short reels, Would like to post 4-5 a day, should be good for the month, alot of editing and work to do. Nothing Ai but the voice over, all edits, auto caption edits, and video editing done on CapCut, never used this before this and its very easy to make videos. I used before Movavi but not sure if I want a paying subscription service right now other than the Ai voice over I pay monthly for.
200 reels should get through the month, and then I could focus on the trending niche topics weekly.
3. The goal is 20 million views a month.

Tomorrow ill have a detailed thread on what's the next steps to achieve this goal. This is a 5 Stage Plan, If executed correctly could be possible in 3-5 months to get 10-20 million views (using SEO knowledge as well) and if I'm able to keep up with time. (I have very limited time for this channel idea to work for the execution that is aimed for) If a particular date is missed and this channel is not good to go by then, well it was a good lesson)

(Any scaling tips would not be possible now as its still early to tell if it will succeed or not, I will decide to invest in sourcing the work once the second stage is complete )

I uploaded 5 60-85 seconds 9:16 videos, all included #shorts in the title or in the description, why do all 5 videos come out with normal size format?

You cant do past 60 seconds or else not considered a reel and they convert it into a regular video if im correct. and thank you and 9:16 is right

Hey on Day 6 on update:

Today I took a different approach decided to work on just one short and see what happens instead of 5 shorts per day to understand how big of a role does consistency play in YT algo.
Shockingly, it was my best performing video out of all the shorts I posted in the past 6 days including most likes, views, comments. All shorts went up because of this recent short.
I don't understand this positive trigger, YT is a puzzle that doesn't make sense, which keeps us running in circles.

Can anyone explain this trigger caused by and why it was a good thing, I would assume going down to post just 1 short compared to 5 a day for the past 4 days would be bad and wanted to do it as a test but instead it was the complete opposite.

Waiting for analytics page to update:
6.3k views to -> 8.6k views currently.

Not crazy numbers, but still trying to connect dots as a first timer hopefully will understand what I need to know.

Where it says reply and like it also says quote, press that, and then at the at bottom where you post your message, there is a insert quotes button, that pops up a window of your quotes, and if you select insert, they all magically appear together in the post area for you to write specifically to!
