Firefox private browsing kills affiliate cookies

After a recent upgrade from firefox, it seems like the default option is private browsing. One of their stated benefits is they will not store cookies after browsing. Since the job of affiliate marketer is to stuff cookies with a 30 days period and hope for a sale, isnt that going to kill off a lot of money in affiliation?

Am I misunderstanding any part?

Private browsing was always present in the Firefox. Looks like you have just recently discovered it. Similarly Google Chrome also contains Incognito window which do the same job. Nothing new.

ok my bad, maybe i just started noticing as i started educating myself with IM. So affiliate cookies are killed then?

The moment you close the browser [during private browsing], all the cookies, history etc are deleted automatically. But do not worry most people do not use the private browsing.

the guy is saying it is DEFAULT now, which is a major problem.

I've updated mine to the recent update and Private Browsing is NOT the default mode.

No it is not default. You have to choose it from the menu. I also have the latest updated Firefox.

It comes out in release 22.0 or something like that, private browsing is default (like safari is today), and it will be a problem for you me thinks

Lol. People dont use private browsing much. The only time they do is when they watch porn.
