I'm looking for an addon/hack that will set up Firefox to automatically change proxies after a certain amount of time has passed. Any ideas?

Imacros is good way to change proxies easily. You can use this code to change proxies after a short time
    PROXY ADDRESS=66.98.229.110:8080 BYPASS=
    wait seconds=3

to be able to change the proxies after set time? because that was already answered above, for that imacros is the best, which isn't a proxy addon, however you can set the proxy with it
but if you're just looking for a proxy addon, then foxyproxy is the most commonly used
