Just updated to ff 3.5.5 and nothing is working, tabs won't close, links won't click, error messages every time i restart. Fuck me. Anyone else have this?

I can say that in general anything in 3.5 sucks.

I don't know what they did but the fucked up the whole reason people use Firefox. It's supposed to be fast and simple. Same concept that got Google big.

not having any issues with 3.5.5???

wonder if some of your plugins are not compatible? though going through
and turning off 1-2 at a time...and then closing and restarting is a pain in
the back? it may be the only way to check...

R-

Same here. Many bugs in FF 3 and above. It even closes randomly for me. I've started using Crome now.

disable the last plugin you installed or some plugins are causing the problems

Uninstall your updated firefox and reinstall old version and turn off automatic updates. I did the same.

Sucking for me, after loading 5-10 pages windows freezes and i have to restart :/

updated to 3.5.6 beta, same .... i loved ff for years but it is very buggy with win7 had to move to safari

well I don't know what the hell is happening here. i rebooted and then I had to delete the damn thing, re uploaded and still having fits. Can't get it to open up with anything other than the ff start page which doesn't stop , won't allow me to click anything to get to my normal home page, and the freakin scroll bar is on the left. ??? that's just the start of it

<edit>
@rhino, kojakfull - i think it's the add ons. i disabled them an it seems to work. too bad coz now i gotta figure out which one is causing it and i think it's my proxy switcher i've been using.

@knoxgates - that's my next step if needed.

FF has been giving me a lot of issues too, locking up and taking loads of memory but its probably due to all the plugins I use so I cant complain too much.

When I want fast simple browsing I just load up Chrome.

3.5.5 has been sucking for me too. So bad that I've been using IE and chrome when I can, but FF has all my plugins and shit. I just have to restart it a lot now. I'd disable any plugins you can live without. I don't know what's up with it. I've heard a lot of complaints.

Also you might want to research if you can download and use an older version perhaps? I just thought of this and dunno if it's possible.

Thanks everyone..looks like it was my better privacy add on which i updated.

I use Google chrome now... Much faster... I know everybody complains about the information it sends to Google, but whatever - I haven't had a problem with it yet.

Thing I learned from 2pac is that the best days are the ones when ur going up. Once you're at the top you can only go down.

To me it looks like ff is going down at the moment.

I'll be using it anyway.

I am using 3.0.15 and yesterday I saw the upgrade on my screen 3.5. I guess I will not upgrade. The version I have now works fine.

Same here. Freezes all the time. Have to restart about 10 times per day.

Last word from my perspective. Even after I thought I had it all fixed, (updated and/or disabled add ons) the bastard was still going crazy. I got on the mozilla support group and there are many others with similar issues. I gave up, uninstalled the fucker and am now back to 3.0.15 which works perfectly well for me.

Updated a few weeks ago and 3.5.5 under XP runs fine no issues. Disable your plugins one at a time and troubleshoot.
