Finding similar businesses PBNs by mistake

Always being on the hunt for backlinks I have circled around again to backlinks from others which is impossible really. I been researching other brands who compete against the same nationwide companies in my area and seeing people running PBNs.

How often do you research a brand and find all their PBN links?

More meaning the person who built the domains made the mistake of naming them all similar and building with the same format.

Not super often, but when i do dig into competitors, it’s surprising how many still lean on pbn links.
some hide it well, others not so much. it's a good reminder that pbn’s aren’t dead, just more hidden and niche now

Most of the working knowledge of SEO I have has been gained from researching competitors, or just high ranking sites in general. PBNs, parasites, and other link dumps are great starting points for reverse engineering things.
