Market research, huh? Sounds to me like you're trying to push the burden of testing your sales copy onto your potential affiliates.
I'm not hating on you for that or anything, but you should be aware that you'll never land the "big fish" affiliates unless you're actively promoting your product AFTER you've dialed in your sales copy conversion and provided them with some really good tools (banners, articles, keywords, etc).
The "big fish" affiliates know the game and rip your product apart within seconds of looking at it in the CB marketplace. And I speak from experience when I say that these guys are "one and done" if you fuck with them. They got to where they are by knowing what they're doing and not by flying by the seat of their pants.
Don't take what I'm saying as being harsh, I'm just trying to impress upon you that the more you prepare before you list your product, the better off you'll be. You want market research? Look at the other products in your niche (or close to it) in the CB marketplace that are selling right and left. What are they doing that you aren't? There's your market research right there.
The time you spend chasing your tail looking for how one affiliate sold one of your products could be much, Much, MUCH better spent looking at all the proven data that's staring you right in the face already in the CB marketplace.
Good luck to ya.
