Finding Low Volume Keywords

Hi BHW gang,

So silly me i realized today i am just wasting time I guess with domains i have live. I have a few doing well pointed at competitive money keywords and others in limbo just doing nothing. My goal is to compile a list of the lowest keywords for the websites with 0 traffic and go on the attack. Sorry ask a simple question, i am going to google it as well. How do you guys go about finding low keywords? The goal here is simple, these kind of trash sites doing nothing, i need them ALL to have traffic on low bad keywords, if not a click then impressions. I just added them all this morning to Google search console on diff accounts of course, just in case.

This used to work but now it categorically doesn't work. Like there might be some chance that it may work. No point in chasing ghosts IMO.

If a domain’s been dead weight for 6+ months, I nuke the content and re-launch with AI + internal linking from my main ones. Trying to squeeze life outta ghost kws is a waste unless the site has some aged juice or links worth salvaging.

Hmmmm sounds like your hitting on something. Are you saying these domains are dead weight? Some of my sites insta rank for the niche like i hit the lotto with the domain while others are the latter. Do you run test for like 3-6 months then dump the domain? I was thinking of doing that or sell them.

Dang you pretty much said the same thing other guy did. I am going to nuke them then and rewrite. Just poking the bear, these are domains I purchased fresh and only and added relevant web 2.0s to them and maybe some citations. All of them are over 1 year old as well.

Me being a newb i guess I lack understanding when a domain really serves no purpose.

Something I noticed. For 1-2 of these domains I pointed them at something way out of niche 6-9 months ago and it ranked for every keyword. Like i had a party site but when i pointed it towards to making cookies they insta rank. Before I dump these sites I am going to try that or should I ? It probably looks weird a party like its no tommorrow site ranking for best baked waffles in the morning.

I think competitors keyword stealing is the best strategy here. Try to find which low kd keywords are they ranking for then steal those.

Try to use Semrush free trial if you are looking for a low volume keyword research tool

Its still works, and especially if your niche is competitive. You will need to target low hanging fruits keywords to establish your position and compete with your competitors. Ahrefs can help you on targeting these low competitive keywords.
