Hi, I have a list of blogs to check and I want to find all the dead ones so I can register them. Which code should I use in the Alive Checker addon? I have read conflicting codes and it is telling me that blogs are dead an when I check them they aren't. Currently I'm using 301, 200 and 308

    Cheers

Only a small percentage of the dead blogs are available for registration.

You are possibly better off using the Page Scanner Addon http://www.scrapebox.com/page-scanner

Just visit a dead blog that's available to register, and find a unique piece of html and/or text on the page of only unregistered blogs and add it to the Page Scanner as a footprint. Then all the blogs the Page Scanner shows found for has this unique snippet, and is available to register.

Trim to root, then resolve domain. (Get ip from domain)
if they do not respond to dns, many will be available to register ;)
    dont forget to remove www

200,301... Are http response code. What your looking for is out of that. Not same OSI level.
