Hey guys, so I was thinking of some ways to find competitors money pages. Obviously sites will have pages that make more money than others so sites will push these pages more than others.

Clues they use
* more links built to these pages
* more internal links to these pages
* links in the footer or main menu

Any other ideas? I know AHREFs does most popular pages but these don't necessarily mean money pages for the sites.

You cannot find this data accurately. But you can get ideas based on links built for particular pages.

First bullet point in your list is accurate, but the other 2 make no sense to me. I've seen (and done) a lot of internal linking to informational pages, so I don't think that internal links are a good indicator of which pages are money makers. Affiliate links and CTAs are a much better indicator of this.

And what's the deal with links in footer or menus? I mean, I can see the point of including the link of your money page in the menu, but why in the footer? People hardly ever see the footer links, let alone click on them, so why footer links??

You want more visibility to the pages hence then being in the menu. Also a footer and menu link would make it sitewide but not sure if this passes more link juice to the pages or not

more links built to these pages
This helps. Perhaps they should have focused more on building links to these pages.

And yes, I found one of my client's competitors has an irrelevant meta description with several keywords that are pointing to their inner pages, but the page has no content(I mean no content at all), and yet he's ranking high. But they won't have long-lasting rankings.

And I am not sure how this will work.

Yes, it may enhance visibility. However, I think they are less valuable.

You can't get full information about that but basic information and ideas for create a some other pages.
