Finding Commission-Salespeople

I want to start selling some of my company products via commission sales reps. I know they're not the best out there, those that get paid are better, etc. I can't pay them at the point I'm at, that's just the way it is.

Mind you this is for physical products to sell to stores for resale. My company is a distributor and manufacturer's rep for some of the products. This is all traditional-type merchandise, nothing techy or fancy. Products can be sold to at any location in the US.

Thought I'd ask the community for some ideas...

Do you guys have ideas where and how to go about finding such people? I'm sure there are laid off sales people who wouldn't mind making a bit extra cash for making sales, I just don't know where to go about finding them.

CL hasn't gone too well for me, got some "tire kickers" but nothing concrete.

I think what a lot of companies with sales people will do is take them on for a trial period on commision only, then when theyve proved they are worth it, they can be taken on with a basic + commision basis.
Not sure about in the US but in the UK there are loads of jobsites that yu could post on as well as things like gumtree, cragslist etc. And what about freelancer type sites and things like that?
Also, I'm not sure if you have a jobcentre type thing over there? Basically over here unemployed people have to go to the job centre once every two weeks, and there are machines there that display all the local jobs etc. If theres a similar sort of thing over there then that would be ideal

Yeah, maybe the unemployment office will let me put up flyers. I'll check that out. Good idea, mate... how would freelancer job sites be able to work on commission only?
