So I got a niche site that I am using primarily for Adsense...doesn't earn a whole lot and currently ranks between 11 and 18 for it's primary keyword. The primary keyword gets over 14,000 local searches and the CPC for the keyword is around $11.00. I am currently outranking a bunch of sites targeting that keyword via AdWords. Would it make sense to try and email the contacts on the whois pages for those people bidding that I am outranking to see if they would be interested in the domain and either using it primarily or 301'ing to their primary domain?
The domain is over 10 years old and an EMD for the target keyword. While I don't make much from it, I am sure it could boost someones sales or at least cut back their advertising costs.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
