Finding "Amateur" Bloggers

So far I've been having good luck finding link partners(not recipricoal links).My most success has been with ameature bloggers, most of them dont know what PR is despite having a PR3 or higher domain.

The hard part is finding these type of blogs, google news only returns blogs from major companies, and from very few small blogs


Anyone else have experience with this?

I'm a full-time SEO and use blogs and guest postings as a nice meaty chunk of the overall SEO strategy I am implementing here.

I generally use a couple different Google search queries that may help "a little" in finding newer bloggers.

For my guest posts I use:

"Guest Post By" + "KEYWORD HERE"
"Write for us" + "KEYWORD HERE"
"Contribute" + "KEYWORD HERE"

If you wanted to find some newer ones I think you might want to try adding a couple "time sensitive" queries in addition to the terms above.

"Copyright 2009"/"Founded 2009"/etc might help. (insert diff. years to find a good age range)

Another idea is to locate some online blog directories (in your niche) and see whether you can sort blogs by "date of submission" and try to find some newer ones that way.
