The file contains over 1900 niches that - while might not be untapped - can still be a good source of ideas / niches that might work for you. Just go through the list and see if anything calls out to you :)
 
I think there are probably infinite niches you can tap into. If you read on here too much without taking ENOUGH action you may feel as if everything is too competitive.

Often it's the case that you just need to do more. If you're writing an article about a certain niche that you researched, and noticed you aren't getting as much traffic as you think - write more. You'll probably notice you only have <20 articles published. You need like 1000

This ^ is just one example of what I'm saying; You probably already have a few niches in mind that interested you initially -- take a look at them again :) Even if you think it's competitive - you want to pick a niche that you're actually comfortable working in. Because you're going to be putting in countless hours working on it.
 
After doing extensive niche research in the past few months, I strongly believe nowadays finding an "untapped" niche has to do more with the angle or the perspective you approach a particular niche.

If you´re creative enough or think "outside the box" you can even tackle highly competitive industries/niches.
 
Of course, it's possible, but it may need a lot of research and reverse engineering of what others are doing.

But even if you go after "tapped" niche, there is still a good chance to become successful, if you play the SEO game right.

Meaning, you'll need to have a very solid content strategy in place (https://www.semrush.com/blog/topic-clusters/, interlinks, carefully chosen keywords), some good SEO tools for analysis & reverse engineering (Ahrefs, SEMRush, Surfer, etc), and some budget for content/backlinks/technical stuff.
 
Surely possible, you can do yourself with good keyword research. If you do not want to do all the work alone, you can buy this service.

There are non-competitive niches that work, but they are hard to find.

I've found non-competitive niches but sometimes I've found that they are very hard to monetize :/

One of the most clever ways I’ve noticed people discovering untapped niches, is through Reddit.

One guy I know would use software to “listen” to Reddit.

The software would basically compare all the text Reddit posters would publish on Reddit, on certain sub-Reddits, over a certain period of time.

These words are compared against an existing dictionary or thesaurus.

If the word they mined from Reddit matches then it gets thrown out.

The same goes with phrases.

But if a new phrase or something that’s different, or a different word shows up, my friend would dump those keywords into a text document and analyze them.

This is how he finds new domain names to register.

This is also how he finds new buzz words for niches that may be up and coming.

The hardest niche to do this type od analysis in, is crypto.

You might want to look into that.
 
You can find untapped niche but there is a risk that you won't make any money.
I would look at affiliate offers with high payouts and think about what atypical keywords might attract paying traffic.

For example, there's the keyword "best web hosting"
And there's "how to create a blog"
 
You can still find untapped niche, but the hardwork is the keyword research.

Yes it is possible. But you have to be in expert in keyword research. You can buy such services on BHW but best option is to learn by yourself.
