Hey everyone, I am creating a program that will extract a list of URL's, and then needs to fill out a forum with information such as first name, address, title, zip, and so on. I am wondering if anyone has any idea's or a good way of extracting what the fields "name" or "id" is, so that I can auto fill it. Its somewhat what Xrumer does, but a lot simpler.

You get the field's name or ID from the page source, then either use a web browser or use webreq's. I'd recommend the web browser since it sounds like you're sort of new to this.

Thanks for the post Aclam, but I know how to get it from the URL's source code, but I am not going to have the list of URL's everytime. So the program will extract about 100 URL's, and the id's / names will not be the same for everyone. So I was wondering if their was any good way of programically figuring out what the id's / names were for the required fields.

    Thanks

i think there is a way todo this with regex and curl but im not sure have a little dig deeper and see what you find, maybe if the field names are like Name: etc you can regex the surrounding html not sure tho!

I am also trying to find the form fields. I'm using httpwebrequest and regex. But for some reason regex is not finding all fields. I'm now trying htmlAgility pack which says it easily parses html... I'll post again if I come up with something...
