There have been a lot of threads in here on how to find expired domains. Here's a tutorial on how to find expired domain names having Pagerank, backlinks and Moz Authority. (Mods, if you don't like these watermarked images, please remove them.)

This tutorial is divided into 3 chapters:

  • Chapter A: Metrics to consider when buying a domain
  • Chapter B: Advanced Domain Sleuthing Techniques
  • Chapter C: Performing Hepta Test

Chapter A. Metrics to consider before buying expired domains

Chapter B. Advanced Sleuthing Techniques

TOOL #1: ExpiredDomains.Net

NOW LET'S BEGIN, we will be utilizing expireddomains.net to find expired domains for just $2.

1. Make a free account at expireddomains.net

2. Browse Deleted .com Domains. Also, don't forget .net,.org,.biz and .info.

3. Check No fake and -1 PR. If you want a niche related domain, enter it as shown below.

4. Check only available domains in additional filter.

5. Select domain age using these settings.

6. Select min DA and PA as 20.

7. Select all the good domains now. Perform Hepta test on each one of them.

TOOL #2: Moonsy

It shows a list of all domain names expiring in GoDaddy Auctions. You can sort domains using MOZ DA(Domain Authority) and Pagerank.

1. Sort by Moz DA or Pagerank as shown below.

2. Hepta test the good domains.

TOOL #3: Fresh Drop

Fresh Drop is a great tool with an awesome user friendly interface. it's very easy to use. It has a large number of filters to sort expiring domain names.

FreshDrop mines all the domains expiring at popular auctions and aftermarkets such as Sedo, Namejet and Godaddy auctions.

1. Open the site and select these filters.

2. Check the best domains.

3. Perform Hepta Test on them.

Chapter C. Applying Hepta Test On Domains

I have developed a system for identifying the quality of an expired domain. It's called HEPTA TEST. We all know how powerful aged domains are. But to find the golden domains we need to do a bit of research and weed out the bad ones. It's about qualifying a domain and see if it's fit for your Private Blog Network or not. Here's how to perform a hepta test on a domain.

  1. DA/PA both greater than 20.
  2. Over 100 links with no spam anchor texts.
  3. No of referring domains greater than 50.
  4. TF and CF both greater than 10. Trust ratio should be above 0.8.
  5. Pagerank greater than/equal to 0. (I don't consider PR to be a very important part now. But if a PR>0 domain satisf
  6. Find if domain is indexed in Google using site operator (it's good if it's still indexed, otherwise it will get indexed when we put up some content on it).
  7. Check out the history of the domain using http://Archive.org and http://screenshots.com. Check if it had any pharma or shady stuff.

Confused? Ask me.

If you are confused, stuck or have any sort of doubts, feel free to ask me. I would be happy to help you.

I use similar strategy, my problem is after i buy the domain, the TF/CF drops much... (i used 404 redirect) i can find TF15+ and CF15+ but the problem is that... after somedays this drop.. =(

Nothing that has not been already shared on bhw, but this guide sums up everything very well, so it can be pretty useful for beginners. Personally, I would suggest to try and think of other methods to find expired - actually dropped - domains, as sites like expireddomains.net have been already exploited and finding quality domains can be hard (Notice: "Can be", not "is", and "hard", not "impossible").

Then, I would suggest not to rely on PR, DA, PA, TF, CF, Age (they're dropped, so it's like you register them anew) but solely on backlinks and previous history: it's quite common that backlink checkers don't pick up some backlinks (even important ones, it happened to me that MajesticSEO didn't see backlinks from HuffPost or Techcrunch), therefore metrics get messed up.

I don't have any experience with expiring domains/godaddy auctions though, I am talking only about dropped domains.

Crap guide, you presented guidelines used by many newbs, great way to get your hands on crappy domains. Sums up all the BS you can find here and elsewhere.

The title of the thread should be :"How not to use 2 sites used by everybody and their brother"

:lmao:

Ok I didn't want to be mean or to act like I am an experienced domain hunter, which I am not (actually, I am still pretty noob), but THIS sums up what I said in a polite way

Would you mind providing me a link to your domain guide?

OP, you forgot Chapter D: Building a Private Blog Network

Similar guides have been shared several times before.
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...gh-google-page-ranking-domains-backlinks.html

If it had been a genuine share then fair enough but it looks like you are just after a bit of self promotion because it seems you are sharing your guides everywhere http://forums.seochat.com/new-user-...ding-ideal-expired-domain-[guide]-473973.html

Here you go OP, I know you really wanted the link
http://affpayday.com/expired-domains-with-pagerank/

OP, why do you have your hansrajhotties site hosted on the same server as your affpayday site? Is that not a possible footprint?

Hey mate, I don't mean to be too crtitical, but every post of yours in this forum is a troll post.

If you have a better way to find domains, plz post a nice guide so we can all learn from it instead wasting time on this useless guide by me.

If agree this is a public forum but still there's a fine line between contributing and trolling. Nuff said.
