Ok you know how when you go to a website and you see a link and when you click the link it brings you to a domain name that no longer exists or has expired. I was wondering if there are any tools that will go to my competitors websites and find those links that are no longer working and will tell me about it.

I'm not sure there is a tool that will do all of that. You can spider the site(s), find dead links with one tool, and then take that list and check the domains with another tool.

To find dead links I have used Xenu Link Sleuth (Freeware), but there may be better options. Scrapebox will check lists for whois.

I used to do this back in the day with some good success, now though most domains worth having are picked up by drop catchers. You may find some that can be back ordered and try to catch them yourself.
