You have mentioned that you have applied for remote jobs, but you have received no responses.
See, NOWADAYS, communication skills do matter. Even if your communication skills are not all that great, however, atleast some basic communication skills are important when applying for any job(s).
Let me give you a real example. In this thread's main opening post, you've written "Or is there a personal boss who needs engineering jobs?"
Do you know what that actually means ? It means that you are looking for a boss who is looking for an engineering job. Why should a boss look for a job ?
Such mistakes are not a big deal if you are writing here in the forum.
But, if you are making such mistakes while applying for jobs, then even though you may be looking for an engineering job, even though you may be an amazing engineer, your basic communication skills do matter when applying for any kind of job(s).
Basic communication skills do matter (NOWADAYS) even while on a job (engineers also often NOWADAYS need to prepare reports which may reach seniors / top management of a company).
Mine is a casual suggestion, for your benefit. If you see no value in my suggestion, then just ignore it and move on.
Nonetheless, I wish you success in finding a job.

Thank you for your suggestion, I am sorry that English is not good for me, I just use translation, so I am not careful enough and the translation cannot express my meaning directly,

How do you expect to complete “engineering projects” then? If you can’t speak/understand english, it is hard to get a job online.

Not looking for a project. I mean get a remote job.It is true that my own English level is relatively low, and I have been relying on translation for a long time and still cannot express my meaning directly.

I was not aware (or not made aware) that you are learning English and using a translator and therefore, I apologize if my initial response in this thread came as a bit intimidating.
Thank you for the clarification. Since you are still learning English, initially you can target some remote engineering jobs that require candidates to have knowledge of the language that you know, the language that you use. And, then as you are remotely working, you can then side-by-side learn English.
Some platforms to learn English are (some have apps too !!!) :-
1) Duolingo : Whether you’re a beginner starting with the basics or looking to practice your reading, writing, and speaking (as per Duolingo website, it is free and they do have apps on Google Play Store and App Store).
2) Beelinguapp : Language Learning App for iOS andAndroid and it's free version is good enough for practicing your vocabulary, by reading and listening to stories & articles.
3) HelloTalk : Learn a language for free by chatting with native speakers around the world.
You may Google "free apps to learn English" and you will come across an English learning resource suitable for you.
