Hi all,
I've been lurking around for quite a bit and I've been trying out many methods like BTB (authority sites) and such. I came across Franklin Hattchet's method when surfing BHW and was quite intrigued by it. I decided to give it a shot.
I get abit obsessed when I start something and I wont stop till I see the fruits of my labour. I love trying new things and this method seems easy enough.. Or so I thought.
I've been doing wordpress all my life and I did it for clients as well for my adsense sites. But this method showed me the power of shopify and I decided to try it out.
Took the trial, did up the site in 2 days - complete with about us, privacy policy and such pages that would give credibility. Segregrated the products into different collections. The products are those that I would buy for myself and those that my peers have been talking about. There are two keys to success for this one.
Choosing the right product and your ads.
You can pick just about any product to sell to your audience but here's the thing about this method - if you dont believe in the product, it wont work. Its something you would want to have for yourself.
I picked the products not because of the amount of sales on aliexpress. In fact, this range of products have less than 10 sales (thereabouts) and from my research, a niche that is right in front of my eyes, yet could be easily missed. By the way, having great product photos help as this brings trust to your store. Think of how Apple market its products. Make the site look clean with those type of product images and you're 45% on the way to success.
Next, I went over to Facebook and open up the power editor. I knew instantly who makes up my target market.
People like me.
I went over the demographics one by one. I didnt have Insight Hero (you can buy if you want) so I am pretty much on my own. I was newly married, just started working and such. I applied this to my settings. I set up my ad campaigns to different locations, each not comprising of more than 300,000. In total, I set up 18 ads with $5/day for each ad. Each ad has different images but same copywriting. I have been writing for magazines and if you ever need an ad copy just grab a magazine and follow the way they write.
I decided to do ads in such a way so that I can tweak the best performing ones further as time goes on. Its important to improvise your ads and increase your conversion rate. Remember that you're paying each time it gets viewed so make the best out of it.
By the way, my Facebook ad account is pretty aged and my ads get approved right away.
The result:
My ads went live at 12am. At 4am, I spent $2.34 on ads. I am happy to say that I received my first sale when I checked my phone at 4am. Each ad hasnt reach 300 impressions yet and this actually motivates me to scale it up.

What I'm trying to say - Never give up on what you're doing. And be willing to spend to experiment. Trust me, when you see that first sale coming in, you'd love that adredaline rush you get, no matter how many times you've been doing business.
I love this method and I can say that this is relatively easy for newbies to try out with some capital at hand and a no brainer for those who have been able to make some income on the sideline. Choose the products you really like, let your ads run to your budget and tweak them right. Never give up.
And, as always, treat this as a business. Keep grinding guys!
