They will be fine, they have a revenue model. Why the happy face? facebook makes alot of users here alot of money, so if it shut down that means no money from facebook.

Happy face because they aren't able to copyright "Book", "Face" and the other stupid words they've been getting away with. As for making people money, that's coming to an end like craigslist. Only the strong will survive...for a while anyways. Not that it's a bad thing more money for you and me in the mean time. Also, I'm happy that someone stood up to them and won we need more of that if you want them to relax a bit so you can make more money for a longer time. Also, their revenue model wasn't as great as they thought, which is why earnings were cut and only a few were given a heads up.

During the IPO FB announced it's traffic was down over 27% from it's peak. Facebook is nowhere near worth $100 billion. So a day after, it's traffic is down 27% from it's peak. Something fishy around here.

Doesn't matter....they got the money. The question here is whether he is a one trick pony. Facebook is yesterdays news, what is he going to use the billions for?

The right price for FB to be trading at is around $10, a $20 bil market cap is reasonable. It's always felt like a celeb-endorsed pump-and-dump and from Zuck down are some of the shadiest operators you could ask for. Personally I hate Facebook and won't use it for anything other than advertising.

Facebook is scamming the middle class out of their money, it's a real shame. Every middle class investor wishes they had bought Google stock back in the day and Facebook is trying to make them think this is a similar scenario. But unlike Google Facebook has a limited revenue model, that relies on its one service staying relevant despite such services never staying relevant, and it has no meaningful physical infrastructure and can't even adapt to mobile users. Yet it's supposed to be worth so many billions.

It's interesting because I've read about such scams before but this is the first time I've been old enough to watch it play out. I hope nobody here got caught up and actually bought overpriced stock in this shitty company.

So you can't make money on CL anymore? Well, I guess idiots can't make money on CL anymore. Two of my associates make 20k plus monthly with craigslist with about ten hours of work monthly.

Oh and you say you can't make money on FB anymore? Well, I guess idiots can't make money on FB anymore. However, I have multiple associates making 5k plus a month and some making up to 20k.

Yeah, facebook tries some shady sh** but there are lots of people who rely on them as an income stream. In six months you will be saying "no one can make money with pinterest anymore". Anyone can make money with a networking website when it's new before they modify their systems to prevent such methods... then the smart marketers keep making cash after all the newbs have lost their income streams.

Yep its initial opening price was 100x earnings. It really is worth about $10 a share.

Haha yes, I know them personally. How is it hard to believe? Auto posting software doesn't require much upkeep.

Read what i said. The many are out of CL and soon FB, which leaves more for the few. I too have friends making huge amounts on both cl and fb and they don't share their secrets :). I agree with the guy saying it's worth $10 a share. It's overpriced, over hyped and headed down before it goes up..if it goes up. Doesn't matter zuck will be out and off to his next big thing by then. Point is they have been sue happy and it's time they lose a few...if you disagree then that's your opinion doesn't matter to me as my income is well diversified.

Go look around and you'll see my earnings with screen shots and photos of received checks showing that I make 12k-15k monthly. So why exactly would I need to lie about what other people are making? Just because you can't make money with FB or CL doesn't mean more ingenuitive people can't. You you can call me out all you want, but when it comes down to it... you've been thanked like 18 times in your 200 posts here on black hat world in the time span of two years. How about instead of calling people out, you got give some useful information to the board... which you obviously haven't yet.

I completely agree that it's overpriced and that those who run FB are pricks. I just wouldn't want FB to disapear because it is a source of income for many here on BHW.

Facebook will be around in some form or another...but it might loose it's novelty. It has for me. I used it almost everyday for awhile, then I simply lost interest. I suspect others will follow. MySpace was where it was at 7 years ago...now look at them.

I almost pulled the trigger on $45/share on FB and realized..."wtf am I doing? I don't even use this site and they have no revenue model to speak of". It'll be nice to see it at $10/share. With all the hype I thought it would hit $100/share the first day and I'd loose out on another Google opportunity.
