Finally the Real Satoshi Nakamoto?

Adam back already denied it few hours ago

The third installment of the Satoshi Nakamoto Series, by 'BarelySociable' channel on youtube, dropped yesterday.

LINK to the Third Video (Satoshi Nakamoto named):

Watch Parts 1 and 2 first!

If you're into crypto and haven't seen this series, it's pretty fascinating.

Don't want to spoil anything now so just go and watch it, and we can discuss it in the comments.

Note: Comments below might contain spoilers!

Maybe the real Satoshi is dead,
Perhaps, his last seen on bitcointalk is December 2010
The guy is probably dead

As a small blocker I didn't like the angle of the video but the circumstantial evidence seems pretty compelling. Also Adam Back/Satoshi had a second stash mined after the privacy fix which explains why the early coins haven't been exchanged.

That's something Satoshi would say... maybe it is you @Sunmoluvic ;)

Unironically Satoshi / Adam Back might be watching this thread to see what people are saying about him. I will be happy for you to give me a USB with the Genesis block to take the heat off you.

If, I'm Satoshi, I wouldn't even wait to reveal myself, it'll bring me fame, I'm telling you this guy is dead, if he's alive, he would have revealed himself prior to the fact that his invention has become so popular
Even if he's not going to reveal himself, he'll atleast leave a public not just like he used to do before
All of a sudden, he stopped posting on bitcointalk, he stopped leaving public notes.
He's probably dead

I guess you didn't bother watching the video... Aug 2015 - Very likely the last email from Satoshi regarding the blocksize fiasco at the time, and Bitcoin XT (can't be Finney - passed away in 2014):

https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-August/010238.html

Original vistomail servers - not spoofed - domain owner the same since 2007.

Writing style is very similar to Satoshi's.

Well if that's the kind of proof you got, then Satoshi was alive in 2018 too https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/sa...es-active-for-the-first-time-since-2009-nour/

That's not him.

Either someone hacked his account or someone forged an email or whatever

It is also entirely possible that Satoshi was a group of people, perhaps even some large institution. Who knows.

100% certain it wasn't Adam Back even though there are tons of other coincidences https://twitter.com/adam3us/status/1259979639092588551

If Adam Back was Satoshi, why would he be sitting on billions of dollars and not ever moving the coins?

Why would he be working for a much smaller investor than he is supposed to be?

Why didn't he commit anything on the Bitcoin code? https://github.com/adam3us

Why wasn't he a pioneer miner, making an additional billion dollars?

A few simple questions totally demolish this theory. Either Satoshi is dead (Finney) or it's some large institution that doesn't need the money (a government that can print money).

I dont think is Adam Back but if was to be him it was a pretty ballsy move referencing himself and Hashcash in the whitepaper. Hell of a gamble for someone wanting to stay anonymous. Also why is a big block supporter pointing the finger at someone from Blockstream whats the motive there?

And I dont get why people are so keen for a message signed with satoshi's keys. The trust in the network would evaporate in minutes if he did. Much better to go along with thinking its Hal Finney and get back to worrying about Tether.

I'm more interested in the tax angle. If we assume that Satoshi is Back then if he wanted to cash out in Malta he would still need to declare the amount he mined in he UK before then, perhaps a reason he suddenly started asking about the privacy bug - pure speculation.

You aren't even trying now. You are stubborn and biased in that it's either Hal or the government, with no proof whatsoever. Where's your proof that the visto email was hacked?

The gmx email was hacked/re-registered when it expired a couple months after the message: "I am not Dorian Nakamoto" appeared in the P2P Foundation website, in 2014.

Article you posted even mentions this if you scroll down a bit.

Theymos received an email from the gmx address 5 months AFTER the 'I am not Dorian Nakamoto' message that appeared very shady to him:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=775174.0

- So Satoshi probably wrote the message: I am Not Dorian Nakamoto
- Gmx email address expires and is re-registered
- Hacker gets access to that email, and can login to the p2p foundation profile

Hidden in plain sight perhaps?

"I was very interested to read your b-money page. I’m getting ready to release a paper that expands on your ideas into a complete working system. Adam Back (hashcash.org) noticed the similarities and pointed me to your site."

Adam Back's Hashcash + Wei Dai's B-money = Bitcoin ?

You have too much time on your hands.

So I'll stick to my initial comment: whoever signs a message with Satoshi's private key is Satoshi. Until then, whatever.

Also, note that to sign a message, he wouldn't have to identify himself.... The fact remains Satoshi disappeared and never moved a coin since so many years ago.

Fair enough. I too wanted it to be Hal actually... but not much evidence to be honest.
