Finally some Twitter success. What now?

I've been trying for months to become successful on Twitter and it's finally starting happen on my main account (it's a comedy/parody acct). A few celebrities/large accounts retweeted me and I've gained about 15k followers in the past 4 days. That brought me up to around 40k real followers on that acct. I have 2 Tweets that have been Retweeted over 3,000 times each but I average anywhere from 50-150 RT's a Tweet now.

I have 5 accounts in all. 3 of which I just use to follow people so I can gain followers and Retweet my main accounts. Those 3 have about 15k followers total.

My question is: what next? I think I should hold off from monetizing it for a while because I'm still relatively small. I am open to the idea of teaming up with people to help each other out though. I'm still kind of a noob, so any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

have you tried mylikes? i have an account in the same niche with about half the amount of followers you do so would be interested to see how you get on! although i have tried them myself an they seem to shave clicks

I think I'm going to wait a while before I start posting links. I have a feeling I'll lose a good bit of followers if I start Tweeting ads now. How much do you make per Tweet with mylikes if you don't mind me asking?

Just keep doing what you are doing

Set a target on followers, How many you think will b good enuff and then start milking them

You can start selling tweets

I have similar accounts. With 100k real followers. The moment you start posting spammy links you will lose followers.

Keep up the same and promote only quality stuff. It depends but you can keep 10:1 or 20:1 ratio. 1 is for monetizing.

If it's a comedy/parody account then I think your best bet would be to start a blog. It doesn't need to be a big endeavour to start with, but if you set it up to auto-update your Twitter when you post, then you've got prime traffic who, if your retweet numbers are anything to go by, are a good bet to read your blog. That in turn should do it a lot of favours in terms of PR, which should make it easier to monetise if that's your endgame.

I know a guy on twitter who does this with about 6 accounts, claims to make a large about of money a month from monetizing. By large I'm talking $30k.

Keep up the quality Tweets if you don't want to lose followers.
