Haha, I also know a few people who made millionaires of dollars back then but are now back to doing a 9 to 5 job.

But IMO, today is probably the greatest time to make money online. There are TONSSSSS of tools, information and resources to help you get started to making money right away.

Back then, there was a lot of guess working involved.

Let me guess: Content locking. Or anything that isn't sustainable, can put you back to the humble beginnings. I agree with this statement, so many tools and people with experience willing to help you out.

I don't know anyone from personal experience who made 7 figures on content locking but I'm sure they were some.

The guys that I'm referring to all did PPC. It was when adwords and FB would take anything from affiliates and this was also the time when they had super cheap CPC's.

Congrats! The most important thing is that you weren't afraid and took action. Doing that brought in sales which is pretty impressive for someone who took action for the first time. I'm sure this success will motivate you enough to work harder/smarter to earn even more everyday. Good luck and keep going!
 
scaling up means that you find a way to add more power into the action you already did.
For example spending more money for traffic, more money for VPS, more money for a bot thats doing your job and then you have more time to concentrate to the important things like keyword research or finding new loopholes whatever
