Well about a month ago my parents said I needed to start setting aside $150 per month to help pay off my college loan (half my tuition) when I graduate.
...right, like I wanted to do that.
Anyway, I had no choice, but it pained me to have to give that money up. So I scoured the Web looking for new ways to make money. I was already a member of BHW, but I resourced it mostly for blackhat SEO techniques. I read around though and discovered CPAs and affiliate marketing.
It looked promising so I thought I'd give it a try. I tried a lot of things over the past month to see how they went. Set up some autoblogs, added some Amazon affiliate products, promoted dating sites, did CL posts. All of those combined made me $17, so I looked for better methods.
I applied to some CPA networks (mainly no-phone ones because I don't like the phone...) and got accepted to three. I took some code and techniques and made a new website and started promoting it on Twitter.
Twitter banned me. Whoops.
So I went to Facebook and bought up some ad coupons. I started seeing leads immediately and it looked promising, so I implemented some of the techniques on another site of mine that provides a free service. I figured people would jump through a few hoops to access a service that is usually at a premium rate. And they did.
So in the past 12 days (more like 10 but we'll say 12 to be safe), I've made $150. My original goal was just $75 to make up at least half my monthly tuition contribution.
Of course I'm pretty happy and grateful. I know many people here go months without a penny to show for it before they start making cash.
I'm going to keep working hard and in February I hope to cross $350. =]
