After a load of downloading, getting bored of waiting, finally got windows 7, so far, so good, I'm totally in love with it, aside from the fact I obviously need to reinstall my drivers and I couldn't find any of the CDS, found my wireless CD, so at least I have the internet, but I can't find the sound driver CD, so I'm stuck without sound until the morning (1AM)

It's definitly worth upgrading from vista, I'm not too sure if it's worth going from XP->WIN7 though. :)

At least us XP users will have something to (maybe) look forward to as far as upgrading, sometime in the future. Been waiting to hear the feedback on this for a long time.

I've decided that I'm just going to buy a new PC to upgrade. I don't want to dick with getting all my older hardware to work.

i'm running it dual-boot with xp and i'm seriously thinking about migrating all my xp stuff over to win7.

im probably going to buy a laptop with it preinstalled. heard its pretty fast. im running vista right now and i hate it!

What drivers? All mine auto-installed in less than 5 minutes when I first logged on.

I am running xp on my main machine but I am kind of affraid of upgrading from XP to 7 cause of past experiences where things work OK and upgrades fuck everything up....

Maybe I'll buy a laptop and I'll install 7 there....... yeah..... that sounds better... I'll stick w xp on my main machine tho cause I won't try to fix something that is not broken....

If w7 does not find your drivers just go on the site of the soundcard's homepage and download the newest, but yeh, how come that windows7 didnt find your drivers?

windows 7 is a great OS, very very stable from what i've experienced. Its funny to watch the mac commercials now because they're having a hard time finding flaws to point out with 7

I know... funny how hard they are attacking windows 7 lol.... reminds me of those ads the GOP ran against the Dems AND VICEVERSA! ... very amusing indeed:

I have windows 7 running on 4 pc's, and they are on ALL DAiY long. I haven't had ONE crash yet, or had a program I could not run due to compatibility issues. It's fast, uses little resources, and so far, by my experience doesn't crash...

As far as the mac commercials go, can u imagine if windows turned it around on them.

Hey Mac

Oh Hey Pc

Hey Mac, how come instead of being able to run programs in .exe format, as 99% of what programs are coded in, instead you have to install me and run me to be able to operate any popular programs. Doesn't it seem weird that you have to install me with you to actually have something complete...?

Mac: ..........no comment.

Using Win7 since 2 weeks+ now.
Its great upgrade from vista. Also its very good upgrade from XP.

I bought a Dell Latitude E6400 with Windows 7 on it and I'm just waiting for it to come in.

I think I'm supposed to get it tomorrow or Saturday, so I'll post more about Windows 7 then :)

I been using WINDOWS 7 for a few month on a few PC's and LOVE it, I found it to be the best and I am from a world of DOS ... and Window 3.0 :D

But have always been using LINUX since...

ANYONE not on Win7 ... it's a no brainer .... migrate "You'll be happy"

:) - no I not from fuking MS and my name is not gates:D - just happy.

I found instructions the BIOS improvement

Nope no Win7 for me. I have been running xp for years on like a dozen computers. I know it inside out. I give friends tech support without even being in front my computer..

First they tried that vista crap and sorry but if the operating system needs a full gig of memory to install then it has issues, period.. I expect that this 7 thing requires the same gig of memory??? I want my memory gigs for programs not bells and whistles...

Besides everyone with half a brain knows it takes MS years to get all the kinks out of there products... But from reading your post(s) I'm not sure anymore... maybe you now need a whole brain to know this????

XP has ran well for me for years and I do not intend to risk my internet businesses on some shinny new MS turd... Sorry maybe in a few years when it gets right...

Xp is just 95/98 in a new suit... basic and to the point which is what we need when we are trying to run a business...
