Not gonna lie, this made my site's rankings increase for nearly all of my terms, just long tail terms not so well or they dropped a few pages.

LOL !! Google's Update names are quite funny. The recent update did destroy few of my rankings but it did improve rankings for other sites.

Is it worth registering a bunch of domains called "pantherupdate.com" "parrotupdate.com" etc you get the jist

Good article that. All I've seen is a dance from one or two of my sites. My most successful site has gone from having the main home page url in 4th spot, to having two inner pages listed in 5th and 6th. Other than that all seems good. Saying that, most of my sites are still new'ish, so haven't really been overly seo'd.

Since google has unleashed the penguin, I am now waiting for some WSO that somehow refers to Batman. I wonder if it will happen.

These updates didnt affect my sites but i know people whose sites have been affected some in negative way and others are on positive side.
