Finally, Friggin' eBay Is Useful... 1K-3K From Glitch

Initially I plan to release this info in the BST thread
to people donating for it.

Unfortunately (fortunately for you), I went against
BHW TOS by making my initial post asking for
suggestions sound like a presell.

I feel bad and to make up for it, I'm releasing this
info for free here. (Geee... Thanks EssentialClix
:P )

I've used this method myself to make average of
2K per month.

I'm not using it anymore because I've already
moved on to bigger stuff.

OK, here is what you need;

1) eBay account
2) CPA network account
3) eBay Turbo Lister
4) Auctiva account (probably optional)
5) Some money

Let me explain the glitch first.

I stumbled upon it by observing a very small
group of people who seems to do well with eBay
ClassifiedAds.

These people always have their ClassifiedAds
on FIRST PAGE of any keywords targetted
whenever users use the "list item fr low to high
price" option, ANY DAY AND ANYTIME.

The secret is to have your gallery shipping
stated as "free: pickup only" and price your item
at 1cent via ClassifiedAds.

The problem is that you cannot indicate your
shipping terms on the gallery using eBay site
listing tools. It won't allow you to do that.

I tested a few ways to achieve that and finally
got it, although for months I'm not sure what
is the determining factor.

I just followed the technique below. I did inquire
briefly in BHW recently about what exactly the
thing that causes the "free: Pickup Only" to
appear on your gallery, but I leave it up to you
to test it.

A) Get an Auctiva free acount and do your listing
there first.

DO NOT UPLOAD IT TO eBay. Just save it first.

Auctiva do not have classified option. Use the BIN
option and remember to priced it at 1cent.

From my recent inquiry, it might not be necessary
to draw out your listing in Auctiva first.

But, Auctiva have an option for you to have a
scrolling gallery in your auction and this is
very useful for cross-promotion.

Usually health and beauty products move well
and not so much for digital/grants/info stuffs.

So, the scrolling gallery could be used to boost
traffic to your info auction from the health/beauty
auctions.

B) From the saved listing section in Auctiva, go
to the auction you just created and click on the
html preview button.

Copy the html code and transfer it in Turbo Lister.

C) Fill up the other listing fields in TL, choosing
'Classified Ads', 'everything else' category, 1cent
price, etc...

D) Before you upload from TL to eBay, finalize
everything here.

ANY EDITING AFTER YOU PUBLISH AUCTION
WILL CAUSE THE "FREE: PICKUP ONLY" TO
DISAPPEAR!

E) Voila... A few hours after you publish, the
glitch will appear and you will be sitting pretty
on the first page of 'low to high price' gallery
section.

You still need to be able to write good title and
copywriting in the auction to maximize this
method.

eBay don't allow links in auction but I have no
problem putting links to my CPA offers using
classified option.

Sorry if this guide is not clear... I'm writing from
the top of my head using a tiny umpc, so it might
be haphazardly done.

I'll be here later to answer any questions or to
add/edit to what I have written.

Cheers!

Do you recommend any CPA networks?

Basically you're selling health/beauty digital products? Do you actually have to deliver the itme for 1 cent that you listed?

I can see how it works but WHY DID YOU POST IT!
You know that ebay is going to read this somehow and fix it up.

Oh, I believe they knew about it for a very long time... never seem
to get fixed, though...

Maybe they find classified good money earner in this economic
downturn.

They also have not crack down on links out in classified.

BTW, per auction usually earn me $75 to $200 from CPA offers... so
running 10 to 20 offers net me about 2K each month.

Market still wide open in teeth whitening, guarana, sleep aid, anti-
aging, acne, etc...

I got some ways to beat the competition or the so called saturation...
but I leave that tip for another day :D

Any network that pays and pays well would do...

I'm advertising health/beauty physical product which is on trial offer.

I don't deliver it... I just direct the traffic via links to the offer page
and they take care of logistic and my commission.

Awesome move..now lets see how well it works..off I go...by the way..thanks for the insight.

Do you also know if it is against eBay's TOS to put CPC ad's in eBay Classified listings??

nice post! i've been out of ebay for a while and didnt even know they had a classifieds section lol!

great post. can you creat one video to explain it ?

thanks!

This look's like it has potential so I am going to give it a spin and will let you know how productive it is. Thanks

I'm confused. I googled ebay classified ads and I was taken to a page that asks to pay at least 9.95 USD to post it. Is this where you were suggesting that the CPA offer be posted???

Do you also know if it is against eBay's TOS to put CPC ad's in eBay Classified listings??

I never got my classified ads pulled down for not following the TOS
such as placing outgoing links too... so, guess their rules are slack
for classified.

What you mean by CPC ad?

great post. can you creat one video to explain it ?

thanks!

Sorry... no time... the technique is simple enough.

Getting to above 1K earning needs only hard work in research and
testing.

Ok, its 7am here and my brain isnt quite working yet, but I just dont get it. You list an item for 1 cent that the person then clicks on the BIN and is taken to the CPA offer landing page and they are asked to put in their card details and maybe pay $4.95 shipping.

Ive read it again an again and its not making sense to me.

I need some caffine to wake me up.

Final item is listed as ClassifiedAds...

Auctiva don't have the classified option so you choose BIN for the
moment just to get the html with cross promotion scrolling gallery.

Surf around eBay and look for classified ads with "pickup only"
as shipping in the listing gallery to get better idea.

I'm confused. I googled ebay classified ads and I was taken to a page that asks to pay at least 9.95 USD to post it. Is this where you were suggesting that the CPA offer be posted???

Yes.. in my original post above I stated you need some money to
start with... it is to pay the classified fee which usually will be charged
on the 15th of the following month (at least for me, it is)

first we need to pay classified fee?

Yes... maybe not at first... see reply just above this.

Ok... some of you guys PM'ed me for more tips...

So, before I get swamped with Pms, I will list some tips here.

Here was one of my last classified I did recently to test whether
the method still works
Code:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEUSX:IT&item=280312186559

Tips:

*look at the gallery and make sure your pic stand out... if everybody showing pic of bottles, you show something else more compelling

*dont waste your title/description... put in as many keywords and word the sentence seamlessly... user find you through keywords in your title... if you want to include words like "free", "awesome", "limited time only", etc... infuse it in your main pic or add it in the subtitle instead...

*always have picture of people faces in your auction... the more authentic (i.e. not studio shot) the pic is, the better it converts.

*skim through the merchant landing page and put in benefits briefly in your auction.... don't give too much away... link out using "read more...".... you want the user to spend less time on your auction and go to the merchant's LP as quickly as possible.

Cheers!

so is this still working for you?

Well, you tell me...

Would being on the first page of a portal where the user
are mostly in the buyers mindset make any average marketer
any money?

You'll be on the first page whenever user choose option of
listing from low price to high... which most people would do
when they about to buy and you'll be there offering free trial
stuff.

This works. I've made some money off of CPA and Ebay. But you've got to really write a good ad copy and offer something that's in demand. These things are either hit or miss. I've never tried the Auctiva trick but it doesn't really matter if you write well and target your customers you'll have people doing offers. Trail offers work the best. People are looking for free stuff. If you can get a international offer even better. Lots of people from Europe/Asia where asking why they couldn't get my free stuff so if you can you'll make more. Also the $49.99 dollar listing option is the way to go to make sure your at the top of searches. Maybe not after reading this idea but play it safe I'd do both. Who cares if you know your offer will convert then just do it. I always used trail offers that are $30+ per. So 1 offer and half you've got that paid.

You are correct to stay with Beauty/Health related products and you should make out with some cash. Also another nice thing I figured out these these classified ad is you can swap out CPA offers that aren't working so well during the course of the month and try other things at no cost, that's pretty cool. You need some start-up cash with this idea just hope you don't get burned. As I said before some CPA offers work and some don't. Be careful next thing you know you'll be owning hundreds of dollars to Ebay and making out with pennies if your lucky.

Ah ok. I get it now. Ive never really used ebay for selling anything before, that's why I got a bit confused on setting up classified ads. Please correct me if I'm wrong...but basically youre posting something just like any ebay item except its on the classified ads category??

Cuz, looking through your sample(which was great by the way), it looked like a normal listing on ebay except for the fact that it was labeled as Classified AD. And then you divert them to the mercvhants LP.

But was my research correct that the charge for posting a classified ad is for 9.95USD??Or is that a different thing?

And lastly, how many of these Ads, should one post to see results??

Thanks

This is a really helpful fucking post.

Already started implementing some untapped markets and seeing awesome traffic.

Using a CPA and adsense and directing to an LP.

Going to scale, thanks man
