I used cloudflare, very easy to setup and comes with other great features

Should have made a thread about it... You could have got free Jr. VIP from two very generous members :)

"We're happy to announce that Let's Encrypt has entered Public Beta. Invitations are no longer needed in order to get free certificates from Let's Encrypt..."

Thanks for the share! I will be getting my Developers to look in this. This is indeed a great victory for the who internet Users.

Wow! Awesome share, thanks a lot! I hate installing those things manually with the intermediate, root and whatnot. BLERGH

No proper nginx support though :( When will people finally move over. Apache is archaic as hell.

WOW! I fired up a new server with a LAMP stack an hour ago and after setting up a domain it was a matter of these 4 commands:

Code:
cd /opt
git clone https://github.com/letsencrypt/letsencrypt
cd letsencrypt
./letsencrypt-auto --help
./letsencrypt-auto --apache

That's it. A popup asks the domain(s) you want to install. It then asks your email address and DONE. Worked instantly:

If you click on the SSL details you'll notice that it's 100% anonymous. Can't remember being blown away this much in ages.

Great thing! Now I put SSL certificates for all my subdomains and non serious domains.

They're great but I don't like the short lifespan of the certificates, using cloudflare ssl is easier.

i remember using free ssl back in 2008, and its was really worst, most of the browser didnt recognized that.
