Hey guys,
reading topics like "How do you actually make money on LinkedIn" makes me wanna puke. LinkedIn has the highest paying audience out there. They are not some bums or teenagers logging from Symbian Facebook app.
They are actual business owners, auditors, CEO's, traders, IT professionals, freelancers etc
Cannot sell to business owners? Go work at McDonalds.
Cannot sell to IT guys? Go work at McDonalds.
Cannot sell to start-ups? Go work at McDonalds.
Cannot sell to marketing pros? Go work at McDonalds.
Now when all crybabies have left this topic, let me introduce you to the game plan.
I've been doing LinkedIn marketing for my clients for over 2,5 years. Now it's time to build own business there. Here's a brief overview of that I will be doing:
1. PROFILES
I will be using my own real profile as the end-point of lead generation. When LinkedIn blocks your fake profile, even though you can create a new identical one and send connection requests to all former connections from it, many people won't accept the request because you were "out of their picture". Your profile must be active if you might need to re-connect with people at some point.
Second reason for that it's very hard to create a brand around fake profile because you cannot shoot a video or sign a legal contract under a fake name. While selling expensive shit on LinkedIn, you need to have at least one real profile. Point blank.
Right now I have around 50 fake profiles. 25 of them are quite developed (500-1500 connections), other 25 are new and will be developed shortly. I have almost all LinkedIn bots publicly available on the market, also some private ones. Unfortunately, many LinkedIn functions still remain not covered by those bots. That's why I need to access accounts manually via web browsers VERY OFTEN. For this purpose I use a Multi Account Tool* (http://a Multi Account Tool*.com , I am taking part in development of this tool). a Multi Account Tool* is essential, otherwise you will get locked out of accounts every now and then. Trust words of someone who has lost tens and hundreds of LinkedIn accounts.
2. SERVICES
a) LinkedIn related services (connections, followers, shares, endorsements, recommendations etc)
b) LinkedIn automation software offers
c) LinkedIn premium services, which I will be calling "profile marketing" herein after.
d) LinkedIn lead generation services
e) Promoting/selling a Multi Account Tool* on LinkedIn
f) Marketing other businesses' products and services
g) Clickbank affiliate offers
h) Other affiliate offers (e.g. jobs cpa)
3. FUNNELS
Because LinkedIn is certainly not happy about some of the services listed above (Don't doubt, I asked LinkedIn Enforcement Team), I will need different sales funnels for different services. In short, I am not going to promote shady things like fake followers on my real profile
4. STRATEGY
The main idea of having multiple interconnected sales funnels is to squeeze every single cent out of leads. The mere fact that someone is a LinkedIn user already puts him/her in a certain marketable audience. Those among LinkedIn users having premium subscription are even more specific audience. Et cetra ad astra. My goal is to create an automated sustainable system, which would go through large amount of data and move leads through sales funnels.
Besides everything you can see from sales funnels, I will promote my main account to make it "an internet marketing authority". This will involve making some posts and promoting them by reposting via fake accounts. I could make money without it (right now my LinkedIn profile has less than 150 connections) but I have greater goals in mind, so why not start moving towards them now.
5. GOAL
I don't like tying goals up with lead sources. Instead, I have separate financial goals for each product I sell. Right now planned total profit for this year is around ?100'000. If I manage to get there, actual business valuation should be higher. Somewhere later in this journey I will explain how to build sellable businesses that could work without you.
FAQs

Why should I read this stupid thread?
Press Ctrl+W now
It's impossible to do XYZ on LinkedIn.
Go tell that to your mom.
Do you do everything by yourself?
Nope, I have a team and outsource like crazy.
Besides that, I am happy to answer your questions but I reserve the right to give a hint instead of spoon feeding.
Here I wanted to add a joke, so check out how I tried to market AccPimp (former name of a Multi Account Tool*) on LinkedIn.
This guy took it to heart:
This answer made me crack up:
The last one is not from Linkedin but funny nevertheless:
That pretty much sums it up.
Mod Edit - 06/09/17 I Know SEO - * the OP mentions a tool they own, this is advertising outside of the marketplace which is against the rules but as the content is very good I've removed the name of the tool and replaced it with a generic description of what it does.
