Filler content from Google Books

Hello,

I need some relevant filler content to build a silo/theme and thought to create some articles by scraping various chapters from books already published in Google Books. I intend to choose only pieces that pass the Copyscape (not posted somewhere else, except Google Books) and slightly optimise them according to the keywords I target.

So, I don't want to use them to rank, but only to support a pillar article (which is unique, relevant, etc.) with internal links.

I know the copyright issue, but, from the SEO perspective, what do you think? Is this kind of articles good as filler content?

Exactly this, just because it passes copyscape doesn't mean it's unique to Googles algo

A PRIVATE EBOOK LIBRARY

Even my local library has scanned some ancient books that won't be indexed on G. My university also had plenty of content that wasn't published on G.
