Figured out My Huge Drop in Rankings

I think I figured out my huge drop in rankings. I went from #2 to #410 for 22k exact searches overnight. Here is the original post http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/295682-just-went-2-410-a-2.html#post2689173 but I noticed on majestic that gives you a graph of estimated backlinks per day. I commented on one site that puts your comments in the side bar of every page and got over 500 links in the same day from one site!!! The same day I got those is the same day I had a massive drop, that was on April 6th and I still haven't recovered. Do you think I'll pop back or does google think my site is spammy now?

It's probably just G dance. I'm pretty sure G knows about things like this and won't penalize you in the long run. A site of mine suddenly got around 100 backlinks from the same site because of what you mentioned but it didn't hurt my ranking.
