Fighting bigotry with negative SEO

Hey everyone,

I currently live in Australia, where a group called "Reclaim Australia" are gaining a lot of traction with their hate speech and bigotry towards people of the Islamic faith. Frankly, I don't care what people believe in, I only see what they bring to the table. I also understand that there will always be dickheads regardless of race or religion.

The media is a pretty serious force down here, the propaganda is strong in perpetuating negative stereotypes like all Muslims are terrorists and what not... I have plenty of Muslim friends who don't want to behead anyone, friends who wear the hijab that get harassed in public by weird bogans (redneck Australians), and other friends who are just like me who happen to pray all the time lol.

For example, the idiotic nature of their ramblings include talking about sharia law will somehow be implemented, how they need to vandalize mosques and get them out of the country, how "muzrat" refugees are really all just terrorists waiting to kill us all. They don't have a collective brain cell to rub together, but the media puts the spotlight on idiots down here and facebook lets them run free with it even after its been reported many times. No amount of statistical or logical reasoning will change their views and I've spent hours arguing with them to get educated. Anyway, I was just wandering if anyone had a suggestion on how to flush these shit stains off Google (They also have a website which I will gladly pay for spam blasts on), or possibly get their facebook page deleted? Will buying millions of likes get it flagged for spam or manual intervention? Perhaps that's what it needs... a manual review haha.

Silencing them with NSEO is just pathetic. Why not write a few dozen stories on bad things they have done and factual inaccuracies in the shite they are spouting?

Ultimately every country has their far right groups, yours is no different. They might be nobs and they might really annoy you but they have the right to say and think what they like.

Groups like this do not even promote themselves on Google, they use the media to get headlines... There will be very little you can do.

Don't bother really. There are far right groups in every country. Develop a thick skin and don't bother with them.

I suppose you are right, I just feel "mateship" (an Australian/kiwi thing, for most decent ones) towards refugees who need help, and then have dumbasses like that simply call them scum from what they see on the propaganda machine. I have a friend who runs an anti-reclaim page but typical media won't give it free airtime like they do to these morons.

Anyway, I will just help through donations and charity for the time being until something actually can be done. Merry Christmas everybody!

Implying because I live in Germany that I am German... Sorry mate I'm a Dutch person living in Germany. But I don't blame you for not knowing that Churchill never said such a thing, I know the American school system is very bad.

No point in getting stressed by them. Best thing IMHO is to ignore and if it affects you don't real or block their shit.

Right wing groups are a bit like internet trolls. If it's not blacks it's gays, woman, muslims or whatever group it's topical to hate at any given moment.

Negative SEO against these groups is exactly what they want. It's the reaction they love more than anything. Focus on your own life, make bank, love your friends and family and do whatever makes you happy.

Lol, yeah... arguing with a bunch of monkey brains isn't really productive. Perhaps if it starts getting worse I'll set up a website, and if it gets press from big news sites (since they seem to jump all over anything remotely to do with Islam) I could start pointing it to money sites. At that point they would have made themselves useful in some form.

OR... a bait and switch lol... get all these idiots to start posting links to my website and then suddenly change to a more reasonable light on the topic.

I'm familiar with these guys, they are idiots. I think they have enough bad press, which is definitely justified. If you were really interested in fucking with them, i would suggest boosting some high authority articles that portray them in a bad light to the top of the SERPS. These type of people are bad for Australia.

Negative SEO doesn't work, mate. Studies have been done by SEVERAL members here, including myself in depth. Unless you have BIG money to spend and the site you are targeting has little authority (which sounds unlikely) you have little chance of success.

Thophayt, actually their website is quite new, I doubt its more than a year old. I think I'll just leave it be for the time being. I'm too busy with shit that actually makes money

I agree Mikaelo. They are some of the scummiest people I've ever seen... I suppose they need to hate on someone to feel superior since they probably haven't achieved jack in their lives. They see themselves as "heroes", and this is probably a chance for them to feel like one.
