Hi there. I have a YT video that has been exploding (according to my standards) recently. It's of a fight (girl vs guy). 5k+ a day, and growing more and more everyday. 100% organic. (My youtube channel from 8 years ago almost, I don't mess with anything blackhat on this particular channel.) I want to know how to monetize this more efficiently than with adsense. Because adsense pays next to nothing. I've made $850-ish since the very beggining of monetizing my content (about 3 years I'd say now) and I think that's a bit silly. I want to put a PPD offer in the description but can't think of something enticing enough. I already tried to have a "Make a funny re-edit of this video" contest and I'm offering money for whoever delivers the funniest video, but of course they must download this from my PPD link (some people don't know what keepvid is :D) Yet.. Not a single download. I'm offering US currency to DL it (kinda) and still nothing. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I know how youtube is, one day a video is gaining momentum, the next it's fallen out of favor and will never be seen again-- I don't want to waste this traffic!

Sorry about that, I always would get stopped from posting anything unless I posted in the lounge-- and I will gladly move it, how though? I agree the title was lack luster. I was about to pass out. Blood sugar problems. Anyways, how do I move it or will a mod? Should I just repost there? Thanks for your time.

I watch fight videos on YouTube all the time. Your traffic is dependent on the context. Change the context, your traffic will also change. No one is going to download a girl fight video. Your traffic will fall to 3 a day.

And that's not your primary worry. You need to worry about every other YouTube channel copying your video and putting it on their older, bigger, more established sites and claiming it as their own. Is the video watermarked?

If it's a good video, sometimes adding some "extras" in the video editting process are a plus, and sometimes they are a minus. Adding graphics foreshadowing what's about to happen, doing a slow-mo replay, etc... are usually good. Having some nasally douchebag doing narration will ruin it. They won't paste it into the Facebook page, and it won't go viral.

Since it's your first, I wouldn't fuck-up something that is working. Instead I would consult with someone with some experience, and find out how to maximize the quality of the video you have, and make certain that no one else can take what is yours. This video could be making you money for years. I want fight videos that are GREAT, and then find out they are 3 years old. So, I say this is a long-term proposition, and slow & deliberate is the mode you should be in.
