The difference between then and now is that Spain had a lot of changes and where the better team against the Swiss, also all the players were eager to win and 4 years younger which in football (and other top sports) is a lifetime.
I really don't see them bouncing back this time, i don't know if you have seen the Confederation cup but if you did you could have seen that the defence of Spain was poor at best, del Bosque should have known that his players where getting to old and the tiki taka way was loosing its momentum, Barca is Spain and Barca has done poorly the last two seasons
That is why i don't see Spain coming back from this like they did when they lost to the Swiss.
We will see in 5 days.
