So ive decided on learning python (at least at first, and then maybe C# or VBNET et al).

    I have a few questions:

    1) Should i go with 2.x or 3.x? Are there lots of libraries / tutorials for 3.x yet?

    2) what's a good development enviornment to use?

    Thanks guys

    1) I'd go with 2.x if I were you. 3.x is fine too to be honest but a ton of libraries are geared towards 2.x. Basically, start out with 2.x then just go on from there.

    2) This depends really... I've somehow answered this question already over here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo-tools/345255-free-python-codng-available.html (scroll down a little and you'll see the reply)

Cheers and I hope this helps!

Good Python resources? Well I'd start with the official documentation page...

Check out https://scraperwiki.com/ too, a bunch of ready made code for datamining, scraping and automation. Hope this helps!
