    Hai guiz.

I've read tons of threads, watched youtube videos, and skimmed through e-books. I still have a few very noob questions that I haven't picked up on yet.

I own a small Hemp Jewelry company. I've began targeting the keyword "hemp bracelets" but the dominant keyword used on-page is "Hemp Bracelet".. sure I could use that, but that's where I'm having trouble.. how can I create anchor texts using a singular word when the plural word is the only thing that makes sense in context.. :S

also, do backlinks not always appear in directories? I've used Market Samurai, ahrefs, checkbacklinks, and a few service I bought. All but 1 of them (ahref) tells me I have backlinks.. but only 21... I've had my bsns for 2 years steady, so honestly this scares me. I might of been doing things wrong the whole time lol.

So the anchor text of your links is hemp bracelets, is that correct? But on your website the keyword used is hemp bracelet. And you are wondering what to do? Why don't you change the onpage stuff to the plural?

Yup thats right. The ahrefs crawler and all those other services have to find your backlinks before they show up there. It won't happen instantly. That's where tiered link building can help get those links discovered.
