Few noob questions for snapchat experts.

Hi

I have pretty good amount of tumblr followers, andin the last few days I'm trying to have them add me on snapchat. And it seem squite successful, in the past two days, several hundreds (or thousands, I really can't tell) have added me as a friend. The problem is, I don't know anything about snapchat.
Thus, I'd really appreciate answers on few questions:

1) Do I need to accept everybody who are adding me, or will they be able to see me posts (pics) even if I don't accept them?
2) Where should I post pics for everybody to see, to my snap story or to conversations?
3) How can I see how much people have added me, and how much followers do I have? Is that the same thing?

I guess thats what's puzzling me the most for now, if something new comes up I'll bore you again

However, if you have some other tips and best practices, please share.

Im somewhat new to snapchat too, but here's my experience.

1. Go into settings and set who can view your story to everyone. This way you dont need to add everyone. I also think there is a limit of 4500 people you can add.
2. Story. Can be seen multiple times for 24hrs. Thats good bc they can go back and see your URL again.
3. Same thing, but the only way I know to see how many you have is to contact snapchat and ask. Ive never done it personally.

Thanx for your responses.
This snapchat is pretty wierd thing.
I've been promoting it to my tumblr followers for the last two days now, 4 hours ago I posted my first snap to my stories. It already has 1134 views.
Does that mean that I have at least 1134 followers already? And if I check the number of views tomorrow, just before 24 hours pass, will that number be close to the real number of followers?

Yes, thats a good start. Looking at your oldest snap and the number of views near the 24 hr mark will be your best indication of active followers. Its a good metric, because followers that dont look at your snaps arent worth much.

If followers see your snap two times, does that count as 2 views? Is that even possible, or can they see it only once and then it gets deleted?

Perhaps you could contribute with your knowledge a bit and not just trying to sell your stuff all over the place?

What is the point of having people following you on snapchat? I'm not saying is a bad idea, but I dont understant in what way will this be more effective or straight forward than tumblr...

As far as I know, once someone sees your story post it will tick their name and show they saw it. If they go and look at it again an hour later, the views stay the same. Only new views get added when they see it for the first time. Snapchat is the future IMO, a ton of people are focused on IG now but Snapchat is going to be the IG of the future. I'm building a small account myself (just started a week ago) All I know is that I'm trying to get 10k views on my stories.

Get an Android device or Android simulator and install Casper. It will allow you to post images and videos from your gallery. And also it will show you how many followers you have.

You don't need to accept anyone. Just put all your photos/videos in your story. That way everyone who follows you can see everything you have posted in your story in the past 24 hours.

For promoting your website or offer, buy a nice short domain and put it in every image/video you post. Set them to stay the longest they can (I think it's 10 seconds or something like that).

The last thing I red about Snapchat was something like 80% or your followers consume the content that you post. That's crazy engagement! I guess that's why every single brand is jumping onto Snapchat these days.
