Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about Facebook PPC:
  1. Does Facebook allow running ads for the movie niche? And more generally, what niches are not allowed?
  2. I’ve heard some people recommend using 301 redirects and masking for Facebook PPC. I have domain forwarding setup through Namecheap with the URL frame thing (301 + masking). Will this actually work for ads approval or conversions?

Movie niche can work if you’re promoting legal content. Anything pirated or streaming copyrighted content is instant ban.

Restricted niches usually include adult, gambling, crypto, drugs, and copyright-infringing stuff. Always check FB policy first.

I prefer using a proper landing page instead of masked redirects. Safer and conversions are better.

Test with a small spend first before scaling. Masking might work short-term but could get flagged eventually.

Yes, Facebook does allow ads for the movie niche, but you must avoid misleading content and make sure your landing page complies with their policies.

Facebook still allows movie content to be promoted if it is copyright-compliant and does not contain sensitive elements. Prohibited industries include: adult content, weapons, counterfeit goods, misleading information, etc. As for 301 redirects and cloaking, this is a risky tactic as Meta is increasingly checking both links and user behavior. If you are new, it is best to optimize your content, landing pages, and goals properly to ensure your account has longevity.

Facebook allows movie ads if they follow policies. Restricted niches include adult content, gambling, and scams. Using 301 redirects with masking usually triggers disapproval better to use clean, direct URLs for ads and tracking.

Facebook doesn’t allow ads for pirated movies but legal streaming can be fine. Redirects and masking won’t work for Facebook ads they detect and often reject them. Stick to clear, transparent landing pages that follow Facebook’s ad policies to avoid issues.

For movies, it depends on the content—have you checked Facebook’s policies around entertainment and copyrighted content?

Some niches like adult content or misleading health ads are restricted—are you working within a sensitive niche?

Facebook generally doesn’t like redirecting URLs for approval—are you using clean, direct links that lead straight to the content?

Using 301 redirects might still get flagged—are you running any campaigns with a clear and direct URL to avoid approval issues?

Redirecting can complicate things—have you tested with unmasked links for a better chance at approval?

The movie niche might be fine as long as it's not promoting pirated content—are you double-checking your ad copy for compliance?

Facebook does allow some movie ads, but the content needs to comply—have you ensured it follows their specific guidelines?

Avoiding redirect masking might make the process smoother—are you using original landing pages for Facebook ads?

For niche restrictions, adult, controversial, or unapproved health content is a no-go—are you confident your movie ads fit the guidelines?

Good point! I haven't fully checked Facebook’s policies yet, but I’ll go through them to make sure everything aligns with their guidelines for entertainment and copyrighted content. Thanks for the reminder!
