Hello everyone,

I'm currently a student studying web design and my instructor is having an SEO competition in class. My instructor made up a word and the objective is to see who can get their page to rank #1 on Google's search results when searching for this keyword. He showed us on the first day of class that there were no results at all for this word and then sent us out on this mission.

This is a "your on your own" competition, meaning he's not teaching us anything about SEO. He wants us to go out there and figure what SEO is all about. And that's perfectly fine to me because I have learned so much about SEO.

Yes, I have followed the basic guidelines such as naming the titles accordingly, sprinkling the keyword here and there, the use of social media, h1 tags, backlinking through commenting, etc... So far, my page has not hit the #1 spot yet. It has been bouncing between the 2-4 spot. Not too bad considering I'm new to SEO. Btw, as of this writing, I have dropped to #4.

After doing much research as to why I'm below my competitors, I realized that the only difference (basically) is that one of my classmates has friends who run decent websites with page ranks from 0-5.. and of course they linked to her site giving here a huge edge over me. As for me, my buddies can care less about anything having to do with the internet besides facebook, youtube, and emailing. I don't have a network of friends in the cyberworld either.

Anyways, my question is, would anyone be generous enough to link to my site? No, I'm not making any money off of this or anything like that. I can provide you the keyword and the link to my site and you will see that it really is a competition we're having in class. Also, the link would only be until this semester is over and then you can take it down. I'm sorry I don't have anything to give in return, but if you think this is a pretty cool project and you would just like to offer some help, please shoot me a PM and I'll provide you with the info.

P.S.
I'm not one to be lazy and ask for handouts, I'm just running out of time and options here and I figure it wouldn't hurt to just ask people. Also, my instructor stated that blackhat stuff isn't allowed just in case any of you are wondering why I just won't pay someone to get me some .edu backlinks.

Thank you for your time.

shoot me with the info. I will give you 3 links.

give me 3 100+ word descriptions and I will give you PR2-PR3-PR4 backlinks.

They will take effect in a couple days to 1 weak, i guarantee it.

It's 3:40am here and I need some sleep. I look forward to hearing from you brotha.

Thanks again.
