Feedback / Opinions on HUMMINGBIRD for Twitter?

How does this differ from Flashtweet? Is there more automation?

200 bux? forget that... liveleys will do the same shit and its 50 bux and i even know of FREE ones.
its amazing what people are charging for shit these days

I used the trial of this and loved it. It is 4x the price of LivelyBrowser though - trying to decide if it is actually any better!

I used demos of both. Hummingbirds default was quicker, yet Livelys you can select the thread time and make it just as quick.

As for 'how many followers' neither program is better or worse for that, as it is contingent on how many people follow you back. I tend to find people within my audience with 40k + followers and just automate from their friend lists.

Hummingbird is easier to use, but fromw hat I can see Lively does the same thing. Though, I'm unsure.

I'm also unsure if there is still value in these automaters once you pass 2,000 following / followers.

I don't think it'd be much different than livelybrowsers, plus it was being spammed all over here and digital gangster by the creator, so that calls it into question.

Lively will automatically advance to the next page of someones followed list, so you can set it to http://twitter.com/USER/following?page=1 and it will go through as many pages as it needs to add in as many followers as you have requested.. it's a sweet feature.

Although it won't auto unfollow people that are not mutual followers automatically.. you have to manually run that.. it will then auto unfollow anyone not following you...

So far I don't really have any complaints about Lively's product, it works well...

I purchased Lively's software -- top notch. The price, support and platform are perfect for those who are technically inclined.

I looked at hummingbird and -- for the price -- compared to Lively i couldn't justify the purchase.

Also, Lively is a member of BHW and understands our perspective. hummingbird may have a very different perspective.

just my 2 cents...

Here my review of Hummingbird

It follows everything on a given page loaded in the program (max 20 at a time)
The best feature is the unfollow as it will unfollow only people that are not mutual followers

My biggest complaint is that it cannot proceed to another page to follow/unfollow automatically. It can only do it one page at a time, so you'd be stuck sitting there clicking Next, Follow All, Next Follow All. Boring.....

I had to use a macro to get it to automatically click the next page then follow, worked great then :)

Ok so if it's best feature is that it will unfollow people that are not mutual followers than here is something you can all use for free:

Sounds like it's just a glorified blacklist manager now

I have not used Lively's, but i do have Hummingbird (thx luohan). It is good but not worth $200. You can do the same thing with a little effort with Twitter Karma, Friend or Follow, Flashtweet, etc.

I'm a HUGE Hummingbird fan. It is the "Holy Grail" of all Twitter network building tools. Here's how one of my accounts has grown over the last 90 days.

Hummingbird does auto go to next page and follow/unfollow automatically. Basically it is a set and forget kind of software.

Hummingbird *does* follow/unfollow on multiple pages as huker999 says. You jsut have to give it some time to do its thing.

Also know that Hummingbird can only work within the confines of the Twitter system, i.e. as of this week you can only follow 1000 people per day.

The main thing I *do not* like about Hummingbird is that it is a resource hog. Look at the memory and CPU it uses to do its thing -- ridiculous. yeah it is pretty and show you the pages, but at a cost.

I prefer LivelyBroswer's tool given that I have more discreet control over how the program uses my system resources. Also, I don't need the pretty pictures of Hummingbird given the cost to performance.

LivelBroswer's tool is more agile and flexible -- if you know how to use it correctly.

And for -- I don't get a kickback from promoting Lively's tools...

How can I break the 2K limit with HB ?

Breaking the 2k limit has nothing to do with the capability of HB or other auto software. You just have to keep doing , follow, unfollow till you reach your target.

I have posted both my opinion and my review of this software on my website. Its not likely to be the review you expect. You may check it if you wish. My url is in my profile!

Hummingbird for Twitter, the real scoop!

Very aggressive software Very tough to break past the 2K limit .. takes time

I used the Hummingbird demo and it seemed very usable. Picked up like 800 followers in just over a day, I'd consider buying it if it worked with Wine.

Very good tool, worth every penny. I got it yesterday and my accounts are now on autopilot :)

i grabed hummingbird from here for free yesterday, works great. Just search the forums for hummingbird its already uploaded to rapidsearch

Consider paying for it, it's a good tool and you can make what it's worth for a very short time..
