Dashboard - Appearance - Editor. I'm guessing it's in the header, in the menu to the right.

found it. im a real noob with wordpress. any opinion on the layout? ways to improve it at all? color scheme (i can edit in CSS style sheets)

any idea on what i should alter in the wordpress layout? any recommendations? im trying to change that scarlett theme so my site isnt generic since one of my competitors is using the same layout. thanks!

The site looks good. I like the scrolling blog post widget below the header. Keeping all of that stuff 'above the fold' and keeping it simple below makes the layout look really clean. I wouldn't change it unless you want to turn it into a really loud flashy in-your-face get ripped sort of thing.
problem is a site that is a competitor of mine is using the scarlett theme. so i need to get mine to be as original looking as i can. i.e changing colors etc

Oh... then maybe use the colors from the logo. Like a light blue and tan / beige.
Both are not clean in my view. It is just my opinion.
1st one.
Bulk Logan is not looking good. Try to transform the guy and keep inside boundary. Idea of introducing that guy is good.
2nd one.
Its clean but looks like a cartoon thing.

if so what would you recommend changing? on my site/blog i added adsense ads to the right.

is the best, it's up on the site now and it fits fine.
The 1st logo wasn't good at all , no offense, didn't fit the site.
