Feedback on my Channel?

Posted a few months ago on here about my channel but never showed it so I thought I would post the link this time and see if there is any other advice you can give that I can use.

Also, I use VidIQ but do not really understand its value to me at all.

Please don't tell me "Keep Creating Content" all that I hear from my college professors who claim to be "Marketing Teachers"

It seems you are doing 0 promotion of the channel so I would definitely start there. The channel also seems to lack a bit of focus and wants to be the jack of all trades yet the master of none.

You have NBA history, NFL history, “The Life of”, a podcast that is also all over the place, and some sort of Judge thing going on. I know it’s tempting to be super broad, but I feel like you gave yourself way too much wiggle room.

It's a sports channel and I make content related to sports, Its nearly all related to the same two topics Basketball and Football am I missing something here? It may seem all over the place but every video gets uploaded on a specific day of the week. I aim to make consistent daily high-quality content on a week to week basis.

I meant that it’s worth considering going all in with a single sport to maximize the usefulness to subscribers. John might love football, but couldn’t care less about basketball (and vice versa) ya know?

Regardless of what you do with that, you need to drive traffic to your videos. What are you currently doing for views?

This is what I do not understand!!! For traffic right now I post onto two Instagrams and one tik tok

@Flexsportshighlights which is daily sports highlights & just started a new one for more sports news and my videos @Flesportsnetwork and also one tik tok for Sports highlights and my videos @FlexSports

I have $0 for paying people to promote the videos and I just rely on youtube to spread my videos to people who search for terms like "1975 NBA finals or Super bowl 8 highlights" stuff like that and also my IG and Tik Tok. My most viewed video came from people searching about a players life and I enjoy making those.

I understand that someone may not like both sports but I feel like there is a huge proportion of the population that does like both sports and i really want to be someone who is positioned in both of these American sports cause i fucking love watching both of them and i bet their are 1000s of people just like me I just need to get in front of them.

I think the life of a player videos are a great idea. There’s TONS of content you can create for that alone so I’d definitely keep going down that road.

As for traffic, you’ll need to build out your instagram pages by following and interacting with other pages whenever you can. I’d also join some sports groups on facebook for sure as well as forums. Don’t spam them and instead play a bit of a long con. Like their stuff, comment on things, and just generally be a regular “user”. Wait for that golden time to drop a video in and do it casually. Make videos about players you know people will be discussing at some point and roll them out as you can. This should help.

No problem! You have a great advantage when it comes to leveraging Facebook honestly. You can join team based groups so your video sharing will basically never seem spammy to other users. Join a New Orleans Saints group, “who dat” it up with them for a little bit, share the hype and all that, then drop a Drew Brees video because you absolutely know he will he discussed over and over again. Rinse and repeat over and over and over lol. By the time you cycle back around to a team nobody there will feel like your shoving content down their throats so all should be well.
