Feedback and opinions on my website, please

Hi, i have this website where users can show their own musical covers and original songs.
Although i already have a few legitimate users who have shared their songs (legitimate as in not my friends, users who actually got there and shared), i think i could get much more traffic and make it more active. Any ideas of how i can get more traffic or places to "advertise" it? I'm already using adwords but users that get from there don't tend to stay as daily users.


Any tips to improve/change my website would be appreciated

Tweak your website, change your theme, make it easier for people to browse your website.

I'll offer some external advice rather than website tweaks:

Use YouTube as your promotional tool.

I couldn't find a privacy policy or terms & conditions on your site. What I would recommend is that you state in your ToS that CoverSharing may repost and edit the video and share in YT.

That way, you can do like a weekly countdown of videos, remix them in one and link to the original.

Look at the MovieClips Youtube account as an example of cross-promotion, you could also post samples and link it back to your website.

The key here is volume: sheer volume from YouTube directed to your website. Your website can use some tweaks, for navigation, including a top xxxx, best of the week, music genre etc listing would be a far better use of navigation than you currently have and actually gives an incentive for people to post on your website.

ie: The top 10 Rock Music covers on YouTube

I mean, when you click 'browse shares', there isn't a way to filter covers by category, or even search for music covers. You want to build a community, so strong silo website structure is vital in keeping return users.

dubious, i think that Youtube idea is really great, i think i'll definitely try it.
On the genres idea, i thought about it when i was first creating the website, but then i thought that there are so many genres that it would be a little difficult to put them all. But maybe it's really the best for me to put some effort and work on it.

As for the theme, right now i don't have much money, so i had to use a free theme. When i have some money i will definitely buy some good-looking theme
