I had my business page unplubished last thurday after a genuine merge.
We had another page, under a different name, in which we posted the exact same content as our main one for the last 2 years. It was simply ridiculous and confusing for people having 2 pages with the same content and it was time consuming for me. Our main page was 3 years old and never violated any TOS. It's just a page that reflects our business: a music magazine.
Contacted Facebook, asked to change the name of the second page and informed them that the goal was merging it with our main one. They asked us to make a public announcent on our website - which we did, and we did even throw an extra banner on our homepage to show good faith. All was okay, they changed the name of the page and asked us to wait 7 days. We did. After the 7 days we merged both pages into one. 2 days later the page was unplublished.
All was done with their avail. I appealed twice, just because the 1st time I didn't remember to include the chat with Facebook support about the merge. No answer yet. Shoot first, ask questions later, it seems.
