Just notice the past few weeks there have been fluctuations.

Several weeks back SERoundTable mentioned there could be unconfirmed updates. Especially on the 17th and 19th Jan.

But yesterday and today seem massive.

I'm already experiencing sales anomaly - very poor sales despite keywords are ranking as normal. Traffic (and CTRs) has definitely dipped too.

What about you? Do share with the rest.

Note: It's been a long time since I've seen a 'green' or 'blue' notification in SEMrush. Since late November till today, it is always orange at least. And Google denies there has been any 'minor update releases' and what not.

SEMRush sensor has been high since December 2021.

First time ever, a few pages got hit on 19 January (yes, only some pages, not the whole site)... hope it'll be fixed with this update.

My rankings have been dancing since the beginning of the year. I don't care much about the algorithm updates, it doesn't stop me from publishing more content.

There seems to be another major movement today.

Algoroo and SEMRush are reporting massive fluctuations. I'm seeing all my keyword rankings jumping all over the place. Traffic dipped.
Several of my competitors seem to have been 'wiped out', but still too early to say as it is ongoing.

And the search results are just terrible - way worse than before. I'm seeing more Youtube videos, parasite pages, and classic old press releases (especially APNews) ranking on the first page. Some even rank for several spots!
Even irrelevant medical articles or articles from authority websites are now ranking for some keywords that aren't even mentioned on those sites!

Do share your results and findings!

"Daaancing with the devil...." I'm daaancing with the devil...

Noticed fluctuations across multiple niches I manage.

Ah mate , my ranking. Went low today , I think I am got hit !

Absolutely disasterous for one of my e-commerce sites. UK. Garbage traffic. Conversion rate has plummeted.

The strange thing is I'm seeing a rise in keyword rankings, but conversion rates have fallen. Traffic is behaving very erratic - one moment I'm getting traffic, then the next hour or the whole morning/afternoon nothing at all. But then next moment traffic is back to normal.

I also suspect it may be due to these factors:

https://www.seroundtable.com/google-test-curved-green-visible-ad-label-32908.html
https://www.seroundtable.com/google-ads-bulleted-descriptions-32885.html

But of course, it could be other factors too. Like the high inflation rate that's ongoing, and so on.

Very similar. The traffic I'm receiving is garbage. Conversion rate has sank from 3% to 1%

I've tried doing a few searches and I'm seeing some American shopping results in the UK serps and so on.

I'm praying this sorts itself out. I'm a little disheartened.

I guess all we can do during these difficult periods is keep adding content, build backlinks and optimise the site, eh?

Seeing some really strange results in the ecommerce home niche I am working on at the moment. Sites with multiple entries in top 10, sites which were not in the top 50 suddenly top 10, with their instagram or facebook page also ranking in top 10. Sites which have not been in top 100 ranking 11-20.

I thought it was a blip for a few days but it has been 8-10 days now.

The niche is pretty competitive and fairly stable because of it. The whole niche is a complete mess right now.

What is the point on publishing content if Google does not give traffic and makes the life hard with these frequent updates? The SEO planning should be done in a way so as to be able to fight against these updates.
