Hi,

Google has Released the February 2026 Discover core update for English language users in the US (will look to expand it to all countries and languages in the future). This update is designed to improve the quality of Discover overall. Our guidance about general core updates and Discover applies. The rollout may take up to 2 weeks to complete.

With this new Discover update from Google, it’s clear that only useful and trustworthy content will keep getting good visibility.

From what I’m seeing so far, this update is hitting sites with thin or overly “summarized” content the hardest. Discover tends to reward freshness and unique angles, so pages that rely too much on recycled topics usually dip after these rollouts. One practical move is to tighten your E-E-A-T signals on posts that drive most of your Discover traffic. A common mistake is updating titles only Google needs deeper on-page improvements to notice the shift.

This new Discover upgrade from Google makes it obvious that only information that is useful and trustworthy will keep getting a lot of attention.

Thanks for the update. We’ll monitor performance and adjust content strategy to align with the new Discover quality signals.

This is a new update that enables only websites with excellent content to rank. The others with regurgitated content or AI spam without humanizing it are getting hit hard.

Hello buylikesservices, this is a big shift since it only targets the Discover feed instead of regular search. It looks like they want to stop clickbait and reward true topical authority. We will have to see how much traffic actually drops during this rollout :suspicious:
