    Hi Guys,

I've been playing with the newwpthemes.c0m templates. While I have no trouble removing links from the footers (thanks to this post) I am, unfortunately, having trouble getting their featured post gallery / carousel to work.

    From their instructions:

As far as I can tell, I have met all of these requirements.

    - I am using WP 2.9.2
    - At least 2 posts in the selected category have images set as the post thumbnail (I also tried adding images as custom fields)
    - The image sizes are 520x300

So, it's supposed to look like this (which displays before I set the category to my own):

But, instead, mine looks like this (yes, just the text - but it's not clickable and nothing else is going on):

I have the same result when trying to set up other themes from this site.

As far as I know, they incorporate jdgallery into their themes, which I think is this: http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net/download/

I generally use "Featured Content Gallery" (the plugin) and have never had a problem. I'd really like to be able to use these themes built in functionality however, so if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!

Replied, sorry, I'd rather learn how to do it myself than pay $10.

I can teach you how to do it as well - teaching and doing it for $ 10 is too cheap I believe

    Weird.

I thought could possibly be due to my removal of some of the code to enable footer links being removed, but I tried a clean install of the theme (leaving all their code intact) and still get just the text.

Bumping for the hopeful possibility someone has a fix for this.

sup homies!!! i hope ya'll already solve this, but if u didn't hopefully this will help!!!

i ran into it myself with the themes from newwpthemes!!

seems like its partly to do with the way the feature code is written, though i haven't really played much more than me getting it to work!

basically, it looks like the issue is within the feature.php where it checks your WP version.

    pastebin /0VYRXMwX

so i simply removed the chek and used the old style haks?? im gonna try to see wats up w/ the version)compare deal, but for now.. i got it to work!!

so basically the above code you just remove the if statement and keep everything within the else.

pastebin /0VYRXMwX << goto paste bin and add this to the end of the URL to get the code and this post..

    i hope this helps!! :D

ps.. hope ya'll can work w/ the paste bin URL cuz.. BHW would not let me post the code within here.. guezz im too much of a noobile!!
