[Feature Request] "Add Edit to Post" button

Hey, this is closely related to https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/will-i-ever-be-able-to-edit-posts.1262761/

This is probably not that much of a requested feature, and would take up precious coding time to implement, but I would love to see it some day so I just wanted to write it down:

A button below your own post that let's you append a text of format "Edit (timestamp): blah blah blah" to the end of the post.

Pros:
- Let's you add information to your post, but not to delete anything (e.g. clarification, spelling correction, download link update)
- Can't be abused
Cons:
- None

Cons: it would open up the possibility of posts and threads getting very messy with updates being bolted on top of existing content.

It would definitely be open to at least some level of abuse.

It would definitely increase the workload for the staff.

Actually it was his daughter as he outsourced the butchering process.

It's probably his daughter posting comments. He might've outsourced forum activity and moderation

Butchering someone alive? That would be my other daughters realm.

Why editing when you can create new, more better content, with more love. That's the point.

You can also always link to your old threads in the new ones, if that makes sense.

Yeah that makes sense but I can't do it the other way around, to get traffic from the old obsolote thread to the new one.
