S omeone on Elance.com liked my article samples and labeled them as very informative and detailed based on the topic. Now he wants me to write 5 (1,000 words) articles for him (profit). I want to take this offer, because I know that I can achieve this. However, I'm just afraid of being sued for plagiarism, because someone told me that article writing can cost me, because no content is ever unique. I was also told that copyscape and plagiarism checkers are not 100% accurate and they can lead me to a lawsuit by thinking my article is unique after checking it. I'm new to all of this, and I just feel like I am doing something wrong just by researching other people's articles. Excuse my paranoia, but there are so many things to know when dealing with selling services. All of my articles will be unique and produced by my own brain, but what if someone out there has the same exact content? and they say that I stole their content? These guys just scared me away from writing articles for money. I have been writing everyday, and am trying to improve my writing skills and research ability. Would copyrighting help?

You're overthinking. Content gets stolen/rewritten every day online and offline. Nobody's gonna sue you for 5 articles unless they get published in the NY times lol.

Go for it and check your work on Copyscape before submitting. If you have an honest approach to work and genuinely write original articles, then you won't be sued by anyone.
 
If your're genuinely writing your own articles you have nothing to be scared off. Just do it and stop over thinking things.
 
There is one rule when it comes to content writing. If you write it yourself, it won't be copied. Just be confident and try to give your 100%. I know some guys who makes big bucks, just by writing contents.

If this is true, then you have nothing to be afraid of. Stop living in fear, it will get you no where fast.

PS: Whoever told you no content is ever unique is a dumbass. I'd stop taking advice from that person.

You are an a-hole... why should my writing skills matter to you? I asked a question about plagiarism. I type in my own "words" "punctuations" and grammar whenever I post on a forum or any web board. I don't have to be fancy or specific because I'm not selling the content in the post. I'm not in "writers mode" FYI!!!! Therefore, your post was irrelevant to this post!

I have no idea to why my font is black, I didn't touch anything. I even tried changing it back to white, red, and blue and it still won't change! sorry for the error! :(
 
Mate don't be afraid to do it. You would really be bad luck brian if you would get sued or something the chances are roughly 0.000000001%. There are people who copy-paste articles and don't get sued, why? Because in the end it's not worth it.
 
Just go for it, you can always check with an attorney if a problem develops. Besides you could also search for random sentences wrapped in quotes as a poor man's copyright search.
