As for age, can confirm that your most fruitful years for creation and business are your 20ies. Don't waste them on gaming or dead-end college. I disagree a bit, I am the guy who enjoyed his 20-25 fully and if I had focus on digital marketing all these years I can't count what I would have missed in my life.. I would be a 28 years old virgin I think

As for above, whats the relevance of it in context with me realizing that I´m getting old for watching Eurovision Contest and having a coffee on a saturday night?

Btw, I´m over 50, so I have all the time I need/want in business, kids are old enough to do what they want now since a couple of years back, nothing holds me back in business or life .. =)

No problem You can run a quick test for yourself, don't need to post it here: Are you self-employed at 28 with enough savings that you can lead a comfortable life for yourself and your family? Any kids yet? Or are you working a normal job while you work on your future projects in the evening? If that's the case I hope you have an easy job so you have enough energy left after you come home.

Ah, I somehow imagined you are 30 something that is just unhappy that 20ies are over, but you are actually old enough that you got to 2nd round of life where you get to have more time for yourself Just something that I think about a lot when aging and IM come out together in the same conversation. There is this dead-zone of no "me-time" between 30 and 50 and it gets better after but only if you are healthy and did well financially.

That´s the problem with social media and forums, people assumes a lot about others, then trying to tell them what they should do in life and business .. Gurus are everywhere .. Heck my oldest son is 32 .. ;-)

That really depends on the country, the U.S. and other Anglo nations are more suited towards succeeding past 30.

I am quite lucky with jobs generally as they are not too bad, so I can work outside of it in the evening, it's better for me, you need money to make money, I don't think most people are successful in their 20's with building a business.

I know for myself I was way too immature between 20-25 to think about creating a business and statistics tend to show that not only 90% of businesses fail but if you are in your 40's you have way more experience in life to building successful businesses. I failed them all for the moment because I didn't stick to them long enough and didn't had a proper marketing background.

Life is not a race, it's a marathon and we shouldn't compare ourselves to others as we all have different lives and priorities/health issues/relationships etc.

I am happy about what I experienced in my early 20's because it's not only about making money and I had no thoughts about building a business then, but on the other end I made a lot of friends and enjoyed to socialise in my free time with lots of people. I also had no structure about what I wanted in life so it was an exploration phase, which is healthy as a 20 something to do. The goal at the end is to work and have a good balance between your professional and private life.

So no I am not self-employed at 28 and I will not regret not to be, being self-employed is hard and has lots of challenge, so I feel I move in the right direction and deal better with all the shit that can appear in my life and find some balance now that I am older.

Don't know what the goal of your question was, and if you feel like everyone should be self-employed at the age of 28 as a definitive path, it's your way of thinking even if I kind of disagree with that.
